James Kennedy Cleared of Domestic Violence Charges, Ally Lewber Stays Silent

No charges will be pursued against James Kennedy, despite his recent arrest on accusations of domestic violence last month.

In simpler terms, it means that the lawyer for the individual from Vanderpump Rules shared a message saying that the legal team in Burbank chose not to take any action against the person (the Vanderpump Rules alum) in a court case.

The Burbank City Attorney’s Office has informed me that no charges will be brought against my client, James Kennedy. I’d like to express my gratitude for their meticulous and competent investigation into the case involving Mr. Kennedy.

The thorough examination they conducted supported our initial stance – there was nothing substantial to accuse Mr. Kennedy of, thus no charges were warranted. James expresses his relief over resolving this issue and is eager to devote himself further to maintaining his sobriety and advancing in his DJ career.

The decision was made one month following the arrest of Kennedy, which occurred on December 11th at approximately 11:30 PM when Burbank Police Department were called to a disturbance between a man and woman at his residence.

Currently, it hasn’t been verified that Ally Lewber, who is known as Kennedy’s girlfriend, is the person who was allegedly the victim.

The arrest occurred after Kennedy and Ally attended Kathy Hilton’s Christmas bash together.

According to TMZ’s report, the Burbank Police Daily Arrest Log states that an officer interacted with Kennedy and a female individual within a house on that particular night following a 9-1-1 call.

At that location, the unidentified female informed authorities that her boyfriend had grabbed her and forcibly pushed her onto the ground.

At the scene, police reported that there appeared to be no apparent injuries on the claimed victim, yet they detained Kennedy due to accusations of a minor domestic battery involving a partner or housemate.

Law enforcement officials were first called to the residence due to reports that Kennedy was involved in a heated dispute with a woman, and he allegedly physically confronted her.

Lewber subsequently spoke out on his arrest in a statement on her Instagram stories.

She wrote, ‘I appreciate each one of you who’ve extended love, support, and concern by reaching out to me.’

I’m doing well and currently focusing on myself. I truly value the consideration and respect for my personal space that you’ve shown.

In my own words, I’ve decided to speak up about recent events. On Instagram, I penned down: “I am resolute in my pursuit of positive transformations within myself.

‘I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth and being present for my loved ones.

Overcoming tough situations may be difficult, but I’m resolute about learning, maturing, and progressing, thanks to the amazing network of support I have.

Kennedy was released after paying a $20,000 bail, according to police records.

Scott Leeman, Kennedy’s lawyer, attempted to minimize the impact of the event, stating to the media outlet: “We recognize that no one was hurt and we’re optimistic that, following a thorough examination, the city’s legal team won’t pursue formal accusations.

A source told People: ‘James was acting super aggressive all night long.’

The informant claimed that his behavior was unpredictable, frequently darting between the bar and colliding with others as he went. It seemed as if he had been drinking, spending most of the night on his own. However, when he interacted with people, his demeanor appeared agitated and impolite.

On Friday, legal representatives for Kennedy shared with DailyMail.com that they have initiated an independent investigation regarding the accusations made by the Burbank Police Department towards James.

‘We’re aware that no one was hurt and we’re optimistic that, following a thorough examination, the city lawyers won’t choose to press formal accusations.’

Kennedy has been dating Lewber since 2022, following the end of his engagement to Rachel Leviss.
