Evan Handler, known for his role in Sex and the City, and CNN’s Christiane Amanpour attended the Australian Open in Melbourne on Sunday, taking seats near the court.
The couple watched the match from the stands, alongside Tennis Australia director Chris Harrop and John Alexander, a former tennis champion and retired politician.
Celebrities gathered to watch Australian player Alex De Minaur win against Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan in the fourth round of the men’s singles competition.
Sixty-five-year-old Jeffrey Handler, best known for playing Harry Goldenblatt on HBO, was casually dressed for the warm weather in a black t-shirt and a tan overshirt.
The actor, known for his shaved head and sun-kissed skin, completed his look with stylish black sunglasses.
Christiane Amanpour, 68, was seen chatting and laughing with tennis legend Alexander. She wore a fashionable white jacket that was open.
The award-winning journalist styled her hair in a flattering bob and completed her look with a gold necklace and oversized glasses.
Chris Harrop, the head of Tennis Australia, was spotted talking with the actress from Sex and the City. He was wearing a dark Ralph Lauren polo shirt over a white shirt.
John Alexander, the 74-year-old winner of the 1977 Davis Cup, kept things relaxed with his outfit: a red shirt and grey suit jacket.
All four VIPs brandished their A-list IDs on the official Australian Open lanyards.
This follows a recent reunion of the Sex And The City cast, which was a highlight of the Golden Eve gala in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Ahead of the Golden Globes, Sarah Jessica Parker, star of Sex and the City, received the Carol Burnett Golden Globe at a party held at The Beverly Hilton.
Kristin Davis, known for her role as Charlotte in both the original series and the continuation, And Just Like That, was thrilled to see her TV husband, Evan, at the event.
The two cosied up for snaps, with Kristin, 60, looking gorgeous in a chic black gown.
I was so happy to see Kristin and Evan reconnect with Sarah, who’s a wonderful 60-year-old, and David Eigenberg – you probably know him as Steve, Miranda’s boyfriend from the show! It was lovely to see them all together.
Fans of Sex and the City were thrilled to see Kristin Davis and Kyle MacLachlan together again in November. The actors, who played a married couple on the show, reunited 23 years after their characters’ storyline ended in season four.
Kristin recently posted a funny video on TikTok participating in a new trend with Kyle, the 66-year-old actor who famously played Trey MacDougal, Charlotte’s first husband, on the show.
In the video, Kyle performs a cover of 4 Non Blondes’ classic song “What’s Up.” Then, Kristin raps Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap,” all while the camera circles around them.
Sex And The City ran from 1998 to 2004 with 94 episodes across six series.
The franchise also spawned two movies, in 2008 and 2010.
Spin-off series And Just Like That ran for three seasons, from 2021 to 2025.
Kim Cattrall did not return for the spin-off.
