Kristin Davis Exposes Shocking Ghosting Story After Lending $5,000 to Actor!

She played a young woman determined to find her soulmate on Sex And The City.

And Kristin Davis also has her own real-life dating horror stories to share. 

The actress, 59, revealed she was ghosted by a struggling actor whom she lent $5,000 to.

Davis chose not to disclose the identity of the man, but shared that he has since achieved great success and their connection dates back to a period in the past that is quite distant.

In the end, she gave him $5,000, but he stopped communicating with her suddenly – which made Davis extremely angry and led him to visit the man’s apartment to express his displeasure directly.

Davis recounted the ordeal on the second episode of her new podcast, Are You A Charlotte?  

Instead of Davis merely hypothesizing that their relationship might have transpired prior to her stardom in Sex and the City, it’s important to note that she had already managed to amass enough funds beforehand. This allowed her to extend the loan to him once she became aware of his hardships in paying his utility bills.

She mentioned that a while back, she experienced being ignored without explanation, which is often referred to as ‘ghosting’. She wasn’t sure of the exact timeline, but she believes this practice started around the time when smartphones became common.

At one point, I went out on a date with an individual who wasn’t working as an actor at the time. This encounter might have taken place prior to the airing of Sex and the City, possibly during or around the time I was involved in Melrose Place, though I can’t be certain.

Currently, he is quite prosperous. His talent is undeniable. However, during that period, I was financially secure due to my employment.

At his residence, there were numerous warnings about impending power disconnection, similar to the ones we receive when utility payments are delayed, scattered throughout the house.

I reacted by asking, ‘What’s going on?’ It seemed like he had an accident with his motorcycle, which was his primary mode of transportation for getting to his auditions in town.

Initially, she asked, “May I borrow some money from you?” A major red flag!… For those of you who might be listening, please don’t lend money to someone you’re romantically involved with. Absolutely avoid it! It rarely turns out well, she cautioned.

‘You never get the money back,’ her guest, Sarah Wynter, said. 

‘Right! It really irked me,’ Kristin said. 

Davis acknowledged that she should have been more cautious about lending the money since their relationship was informal, and providing the funds shifted the dynamics between them in an extremely negative manner.

She mentioned that it was more of a casual situation, yet she felt she shouldn’t have been so trusting. However, she felt compelled to aid him because of his undeniable talent. As a result, she loaned him $5,000, only to find herself wondering, “What on earth happened?!” when he stopped responding.

Disregarded, Davis promptly made his way to the man’s residence with the intention of addressing him directly, yet no one ever opened the front door.

The visit did get back to him, however.  

It reminds me of a time when I went to his apartment, knocked loudly, and his pet dog was inside. I adored the dog, and its presence was evident. Yet, I couldn’t help but wonder if he was inside, feigning ignorance!

Later, he phoned me and asked, “Did you knock on my door at my place?” To which I awkwardly replied, “Yes, but…” I felt mortified, as if I’d left things disorganized. Then, I said, “But remember when I gave you that loan? I haven’t heard from you since.” However, it’s important to note that he is a well-known actor in the industry.

‘I just would love some acknowledgement or whatever,’ she said. ‘Which is kind of a fantasy.’

When Wynter proposed visiting the man at his home once more, Davis pointed out that he currently resides in the countryside with his loved ones instead.

She stated, “He resides in a rural area and has a family, including kids. Thus, I prefer not to visit that place.
