Introducing Pat Rafter’s Daughter: India’s Modeling Debut with a Top Agency
As a passionate Australian tennis enthusiast myself, I can’t help but notice the reverberations of legendary Pat Rafter’s name echoing through our sports community. Yet, it might not be common knowledge that his daughter, India, is gracefully tracing his illustrious path in the world of tennis.
Previously ranked as the top tennis player globally at 52 years old, he is married to Lara Feltham, a former model, and together they have two children: India (19) and Joshua (22). They exchanged vows in 2004.
And now it seems that India is set to soar to fame in her own right.
Instead of pursuing a professional sport like Pat, India chose to follow in her mother’s footsteps by launching a modeling career, and she has even signed with one of the top modeling agencies in Australia.
I am proudly associated with Priscillas Models, a renowned agency that manages some of the biggest names in the global fashion scene, representing India on the world stage.
This Sydney-based agency is responsible for managing the careers of Liam Hemsworth’s girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks, as well as the ’90s fashion icon, Emma Balfour.
Instead, it could be said that Priscilla is particularly renowned for managing the career of the supermodel, Naomi Campbell, down under, in Australia.
Earlier, Naomi shared with Vogue that she has had just one modeling agent throughout her entire career in Australia, and that person is Priscilla Leighton Clark.
She remains my representative, and she is indeed a remarkable woman. She exudes a warm, maternal aura and takes great care in nurturing those around her. While the job is significant, it’s clear that she holds genuine concern for the well-being of the models as well.
‘She’s remained in my life for all these 30-something years.’
India’s headshots currently feature among the website’s list of talents.
She’s only 19 years old, making her quite fresh in the industry. As she’s currently establishing her career, she doesn’t have a portfolio showcased on the management site yet.
Additionally, she shares glimpses of her affection for fashion and globe-trotting life on her Instagram account, which has amassed over 2,000 followers.
On her publicly accessible account, India frequently posts photos of herself in swimsuits, taken during her vacation trips across various sunny destinations worldwide.
Last summer, she took a trip to Europe with her friends and checked out some well-known coastal spots, like Praiano, which is located in the southwestern part of Italy.
India doesn’t shy away from displaying her sophisticated fashion sense on social media, often posting pictures where she looks stunningly elegant in her stylish outfits.
Though her father, Pat, was a renowned figure for decades, shining brightly as one of Australia’s top tennis champions, he now prefers to keep a more subdued presence in contemporary times.
They seldom make public appearances together with their spouse Lara and children, India and Joshua, preferring to maintain a more secluded lifestyle in Byron Bay, opting for privacy in their daily lives.
In the late nineties, Pat was an extremely admired figure of attractiveness, and he demonstrated his talent by achieving great success in tennis as well.
In 1997 and 1998, he achieved his most significant victories at the US Open, consecutively claiming the title both years. This streak catapulted him to the top position in the world rankings in 1999.
In 2002, he earned the title “Australian of the Year,” three years following his victory at the Davis Cup, a prestigious tennis tournament representing his nation. Later in 2006, he was honored by being inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame.
After retiring in 2003, he transitioned into roles such as modeling undergarments for Bonds, serving as a brand ambassador for the Mantra Group of hotels, and thriving in the world of business.
