US bans MLBB, Marvel Snap and other games from MOONTON and Nuverse
Story Highlights
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Mobile Legends: Adventure, Watcher of Realms, and One Punch Man: The Strongest, suspended by MOONTON Games.
- MARVEL SNAP and other games from Nuverse are also suspended.
- The developers have stated that they are actively exploring possibilities to bring the games back in the future.
In light of the potential ban on TikTok within the United States, with Apple and Google removing the app from their platforms to adhere to a law mandating ByteDance’s sale of the social platform or risk a nationwide prohibition, an unforeseen turn of events has surfaced. The U.S. has now restricted Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB), Marvel Snap, and several other games, making them inaccessible within the country.
ByteDance withdraws all of their mobile games from the United States
Without warning, it was revealed that MOONTON Games, a company under ByteDance, has temporarily halted operations for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Mobile Legends: Adventure, and Watcher of Realms in the United States. This also applies to ByteDance’s other gaming division, Nuverse.
Starting from January 19, 2025, access to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in the U.S. will need to be paused due to factors outside of our power. This also applies to the other games.
Furthermore, it appears that “One Punch Man: The Strongest” and “MARVEL SNAP” have temporarily halted their operations within the country. Currently, there are no games from MOONTON Games or Nuverse available on either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, as reported by a fellow Reddit user.

As someone who isn’t versed in politics and international affairs, I don’t feel qualified to express a firm viewpoint on global topics. However, as a gamer, I eagerly anticipate the return of these games, ideally in regional adaptations, much like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang was brought back to India under the name Moba Legends: 5v5. There’s optimism, as it’s been reported that the current President, Donald Trump, is trying to find a solution to rescue Tiktok, according to his newly appointed national security advisor.
