Molly-Mae Hague Cries Over Tommy Fury: ‘We Are Just Done’
In the recently published documentary titled “Behind It All,” available now on Prime Video, Molly-Mae Hague shared her heartfelt feelings regarding the possibility of reconciling with Tommy Fury.
During a heartfelt chat with her sister Zoe Rae, the 25-year-old influencer openly expressed her deepest desire: to spend her life with a special someone and expand their family by having another child. This way, they could grow old together as a loving family.
Today, I’m really on the verge of crying, mostly due to Tommy. Things just keep coming up one after another right now.
‘He just texted me, “It feels like we’re stuck in a loop without progress.” To this, Zoe responded, “I guess that’s why you’re feeling down.”‘
Previously, I harbored the belief that we would reunite eventually, but currently, it’s essential for us to be separate so he can focus on his personal growth. This is what I confessed to the camera.
‘But how it is looking this week is we are actually just done. It is exhausting.’
Zoe shared with her, “If you don’t establish boundaries now, things might continue to be draining for the next five years.
Molly joked: ‘I don’t feel like doing it as I don’t want our relationship to end, and I thought we would reunite eventually.’
Zoe asked: “Didn’t you really?” To this, Molly responded: “Yes, I did. My lack of tears must have given it away.
What I yearn for in life is to be side by side with him, create another bundle of joy together, and age gracefully as a family. I long for us to reside in a comfortable home and share a fulfilling existence together.
Tearfully speaking into the camera, Molly confessed that things have been accumulating and she’s come to understand that these issues aren’t just going to disappear on their own.
She mentioned, “Despite my strong desire for things to mend on their own and maintain a blissful family eternally, I’m coming to understand that such an outcome isn’t feasible.
After stepping aside from the cameras, Molly took a moment before expressing: “I feel like I can’t carry on with the same routine any longer. I believe I understand what actions I should take; it’s simply executing them.
In other parts of the show, the ex-Love Island participant shared her feelings by saying: “I must confess, it’s the belief and notion that Tommy and I might reconnect in the future that keeps me going. Frankly, my desire is simply for our relationship to succeed.
The documentary showed that Molly responded to her New Year’s Eve kiss with her former fiancé, Tommy, causing some viewers to speculate that their split was merely a ploy for publicity.
Her manager Fran called her, explaining: ‘Oh my god it has come out right this second.’
Molly bowed her head and sighed, muttering: “No, oh dear, I can’t believe it… Molly-Mae and Tommy shared a kiss on New Year’s Eve… that’s really unfortunate.
Previously, the influencer mentioned during the program: ‘I can’t predict our future; it wouldn’t be truthful to claim that my feelings vanished suddenly.’
On a Wednesday, Tommy, aged 25, shared a heartfelt conversation in an interview with Men’s Health. This dialogue was strategically arranged just prior to the debut of Molly-Mae’s documentary. During this discussion, he publicly acknowledged his struggle with alcohol for the first time and expressed that his mental state had reached a critical point.
In the midst of speculation suggesting their split in August 2024 was orchestrated for publicity, Tommy openly discussed his struggles with mental health and unequivocally denied allegations of infidelity towards Molly-Mae, dismissing rumors about other women as utterly baseless.
He admitted that our relationship ended due to his struggle with alcohol addiction, which made it impossible for him to continue being the partner he aspired to be.
I regret to admit this, but it’s the truth – I couldn’t do it. I enjoy a good pint of beer, and drinking has always been something I enjoyed, and that’s just how things are. Everyone experiences different challenges in life, and we all have our burdens to carry. Mine is what I must carry on.
Tommy shared that his difficulties began following a reconstructive operation he had in January 2024, which was necessary due to an injury he sustained in 2019 when he fractured all the ligaments in his hand.
During my recovery from surgery last year, I found myself grappling with some challenges regarding my mental well-being. This unexpected hurdle emerged after what turned out to be the most prosperous year of my life in 2023. That incredible year was marked by significant growth and success in both my professional career and personal life with Molly.
In 2019, the couple who finished as runners-up on the fifth season of Love Island, got engaged in 2023, several months following the birth of their child, named Bambi.
Tommy expressed that a significant aspect of his selfhood was taken from him once he stopped training, as he admitted to letting go of his diet and fitness routines first, which ultimately led him towards alcohol consumption.
My life has been dedicated solely to training and my family, but suddenly everything was taken from me. As a result, I turned to drinking heavily as a means of entertainment.
He mentioned that it was this particular activity that helped him improve his mood, and further explained that he craved the sense of euphoria he’d experience after completing a satisfying workout, whether that be sparring or fighting.
He openly confessed that almost every evening, he’d engage in heavy drinking with the intention of getting severely intoxicated. Instead of sticking to his rigorous training routine, he filled his nights with endless rounds of Guinness and subsequently, as the night wore on, he’d order shot after shot.
Tommy’s romantic connection with Molly started facing difficulties, yet he consistently asserted that he had never been unfaithful. Moreover, he managed to keep a strong relationship with their daughter, Bambi, even amidst challenging times.
Last year, Tommy was frequently spotted at lively social gatherings with friends – even attending a wild weekend in Budapest accompanied by a past Miss Hungary.
During the same alcohol-fueled adventure, he was photographed at a function held at the Hungarian Opera House alongside another dark-haired lady. This trip, it’s rumored, played a part in their breakup.
Tommy strongly maintained that cheating wasn’t an issue. He encourages you to verify this with Molly directly. He believes the problem lies in alcohol consumption, something they should all be mindful of. It’s important to stay in control of such matters.
If you find yourself in a place identical to mine, where you believe it will solve all your issues, unfortunately, it won’t.
You wake up feeling even more lousy, and the temptation to drown your sorrows with another drink seems strong. This is the vicious circle you find yourself in.
Molly-Mae’s series “Behind It All” debuts the first three episodes on Prime Video starting from 17th January. The remaining three episodes are set to release in the spring of 2025.
