Lisa Marie Presley’s twin daughters, 16, share emotional tributes to honor late mother two years after death

On Sunday, Lisa Marie Presley’s twin daughters, Finley and Harper Lockwood, paid heartfelt tributes to their deceased mother.

Instead of posting recently, the 16-year-old twin sisters decided to reminisce and post old pictures from their Instagram account on the second anniversary of their mom’s untimely demise.

Lisa Marie Presley, the lone offspring of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, tragically passed away last weekend due to cardiac arrest at the age of 54. She had also paid tribute to someone recently on her social media platforms.

Both Finley and Harper shared throwback photos of themselves as newborns with their late mother. 

Next to a picture of Lisa Marie embracing them as infants, Finley penned: ‘Two whole years have passed, yet my affection for you remains constant.’

Harper shared a childhood photo featuring herself and her twin sister, both embraced by their deceased mother, who radiated the same tender affection.

‘I can’t believe it’s been 2 years,’ Harper wrote. ‘I miss you and love you so much mama.’ 

In February 2023, their mother, who had twin children with her former husband, a guitarist named Michael Lockwood, passed away.

She was transported to the West Hills Hospital, where her heart was restarted en route via CPR. 

Unfortunately, she ended up passing away later on that same day at the hospital, not long after they had both attended the Golden Globes together for her last public appearance with her mother Priscilla.

An examination after her death found that Lisa Marie’s passing was due to a blockage in the small intestine, which resulted from weight loss surgery performed to control her obesity issues.

At the time of her death, traces of opioids were detected in her body, but the coroner clarified that these substances did not cause her demise.

Lisa Marie is also mother to actress Riley Keough as well as late son Benjamin Keough. 

She was buried in the Graceland Meditation Garden, resting alongside her father Elvis Presley and her son Benjamin, who tragically took his life in 2020.

To mark the solemn occasion commemorating Lisa Marie’s passing, Riley shared a snapshot from a FaceTime conversation with her, accompanied by a heart symbol.

The Daisy Jones & the Six star also reposted her younger half-sister’s Instagram Story tributes. 

On her Instagram, Priscilla, Lisa Marie’s mom, posted a nostalgic picture and paid tribute to her dear daughter in memory of her.

In her post, the ex-wife of Elvis Presley expressed a longing that exceeds what words can convey. She wishes she could embrace him again, chat with him, and behold his smile once more.

She expressed, ‘It’s a pity that you can’t perceive it, but you are greatly cherished and profoundly missed. We hold you close to our hearts.’ Sincerely, Mom.

Reflecting on the poignant moments that have passed since the release of my daughter, Riley, and I shared our hearts in “From Here to the Great Unknown,” three months ago, I am deeply touched by the heartfelt tributes that continue to pour in from our family and loved ones.

Last year, the actress expressed in a press statement that not many individuals got to truly understand who her mother actually was. She considered herself fortunate to have had that chance, and working on compiling her mother’s biography for publication has been both an honor and a mixed emotion.

She commented: ‘I can’t wait to reveal my mother, at her most open and sincere. By doing this, I truly wish that readers will grow to admire my mother just as I did.’
