Bluey fans call on the return of beloved character as wild predictions emerge on upcoming movie

The upcoming Bluey movie is still two years away.

Nevertheless, enthusiasts continue to share their speculations on the internet regarding potential plotlines for the movie’s release in 2027.

One ardent Bluey enthusiast has gone so far as to forecast that the forthcoming movie adaptation of the popular worldwide TV series will bring back a cherished figure from its cast.

On the Facebook page dedicated to adults who love Bluey, a user speculated that the upcoming movie might include the character Jean Luc.

In the first season’s “Camping” episode, we met this character – a Labrador from French Canada, distinctively colored deep blue. He struck up a friendship with another canine friend, Bluey.

Despite the fact that the charming puppy could only communicate in French, the language difference didn’t hinder his friendship with Bluey.

‘I will die if we don’t get a Jean Luc arc‚’ one fan responded on the thread.

‘Bluey and Jean Luc as older kids at the campground. I need itttt!!!’ added another viewer.

Last month, it was officially announced by BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company that a new movie featuring Bluey is in the works, with its original creator, Joe Brumm, taking on the roles of both writer and director.

No details about the film have emerged since Brumm is still getting to work on the screenplay.

On the same discussion, someone else proposed another idea stating that the film may take the Heeler family on an adventure across Australia.

Extensive journey across Queensland and Australia, taking in sights such as Winton, the hometown of Joe Brumm, while also enjoying a thrilling adventure tale along the way.

Another way of putting it could be: “I believe we’ll greatly enjoy filming in Australia, featuring more authentic locations and incidents.

A different individual proposed a story concept: ‘It seems the movie will center around the Heeler family embarking on a journey that takes them beyond Brisbane, where they’ll gain valuable life insights outside of their familiar surroundings.’

Initially airing on Australian television in 2018, this homegrown animated series quickly captured the hearts of children and adults, earning a multitude of accolades as it journeyed through its run.

The show has consistently ranked among the top ten most-streamed series in the U.S. for an impressive 112 consecutive weeks.

Earlier this month, the viewing statistics were gathered by Nielsen Ratings, a service that monitors American TV audiences, as reported on Comicbook’s site.

Based on a survey by Nielsen, Bluey has consistently ranked among the top ten streamed TV shows in the U.S. since October 2022.

In over 60 different nations, the beloved animated series Bluey is aired. In Australia, all three seasons of this Emmy-winning show can be viewed on ABC iview. Meanwhile, in the United States, it’s accessible on Disney+, and certain episodes are offered on BBC iPlayer in the U.K.

Once the movie premieres in theaters, viewers can also watch it online through Disney+, ABC iview, and ABC Kids (in Australia).

As a lifestyle expert, I can’t contain my enthusiasm for the upcoming Bluey movie! Having had the privilege to delve deeper into a longer narrative format in Series 3 with ‘The Sign’, expanding that experience into a full-length feature film feels like a seamless progression.

I’ve long believed that Bluey should have a cinematic adventure. I envision it as an immersive experience for families to share and cherish. I’m thrilled to collaborate with Cecilia Persson, Tom Fussell, BBC Studios, and Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, and Disney in bringing this fresh Bluey tale to life on the big screen.

In the movie, we’ll hear Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as the voices of Bluey’s parents, Chilli and Bandit Heeler. Moreover, the film will include original music composed by Joff Bush.

In the production of our CG animated movie, the acclaimed animation producer, Amber Naismith, will take charge. Meanwhile, Richard Jeffery is set to rejoin as a co-director for the project.
