Schitt’s Creek actress Sarah Levy reveals she lost her ‘sweet home’ in LA fires

Sarah Levy is mourning the loss of her home to the Palisades fire.

38-year-old actress, who is the daughter of Eugene Levy and often appeared in his popular show “Schitt’s Creek,” expressed her sorrow over a painful loss while assuring fans that she and her family were secure.

In a more casual and straightforward manner: Levy, mother of two-year-old James Eugene Outerbridge alongside her partner Graham Outerbridge, shared various recollections from their beloved home, including nurturing her son, as well as her cozy kitchen where she crafted future plans.

The post was accompanied by an image of what appeared to be the Pacific Palisades hillside. 

In my humble abode, I find myself longing with all my heart. If only I could once again feel the comfort of the house key turning, or hear the soft sound of a closed baby gate as I ascend the stairs with a load of laundry. This is how deeply rooted are the memories in my heart.

‘On Tuesdays, listen to the garbage truck’s rumble outside and observe James rushing to the window to gaze out. Enjoy the aroma of eucalyptus, roses, and rosemary. Witness the early morning fog’s arrival or hawks gliding over the yard, or the nightly twinkle from houses across the canyon.’

In this tiny town, bumping into friends every day was commonplace. Next door lay the quest for tender strawberries. What a privilege it was to nurture our child in such a picturesque, enchanting haven, far removed from the chaos of Los Angeles.

In our cozy kitchen, we’re mapping out our future. Fortunately, we’re all secure, and this experience has made me realize the importance of cherishing every aspect of life. I have no doubt that we’ll return, and when we do, the Palisades will be greener and more vibrant than ever before, teeming with life. For now, let’s wait patiently.

Her brother, Dan Levy, also commented on the heartbreaking post: ‘Love you,’ he wrote simply. 

It’s said that Levy bought his property as far back as 2006, at a comparatively low price of around $3.9 million, based on reports from Urban Splatter.

This spacious, two-tier residence boasted a total of three bedrooms and bathrooms, occupying an area of approximately 2,081 square feet.

According to reports, it seems to have originated around 1950, boasting a connected garage, along with a graceful sequence of winding stairs ascending from the driveway to the entrance.

Previously, he talked about considering escape and finding himself stuck in a traffic jam, which was filled with countless fellow citizens who were obeying evacuation instructions.

‘The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon,’ he told The Los Angeles Times.

‘I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark.’

In a heartfelt post on social media, Dan Levy, his son, expressed deep sorrow for his family, friends, and Los Angeles residents who are impacted by the devastating fires.

Eugene holds a unique bond with Pacific Palisades, having been bestowed the title of ‘honorary mayor’ in the year 2021.

In this role, declarations are mainly symbolic and non-binding for the local area, since it falls under the jurisdiction of Los Angeles’ municipal government. However, in his capacity, Levy often attended community gatherings.
