Chrissy Teigen is back in her LA home after having to evacuate as she celebrates daughter’s birthday

Chrissy Teigen expressed gratitude for having Esti’s second birthday celebration at their $17.5 million residence, which they were able to return to following the destructive Los Angeles wildfires, where they had previously been evacuated.

39-year-old celebrity, along with her husband John Legend and their four children, sought refuge in a hotel last week due to approaching wildfires near their home. On Monday, she took to her Instagram stories to share that she had whipped up a delicious cake for a special occasion.

On Tuesday, January 7, devastating wildfires such as the ones in Pacific Palisades and Eaton ignited under powerful winds, leading to a tragic loss of 24 lives.

Although Teigen and her family had to vacate their home on Wednesday, it seems they’ve managed to get back home safely since then.

Chrissy shared a picture of a round cake decorated generously with rich chocolate icing, and figurines of John Cena were positioned atop it, including one character that was holding a sweet cake lollipop.

On social media, the model has shared that her youngest child has developed a strong fascination with the WWE wrestler.

Sunlight poured in through distant sliding glass doors while she penned, ‘Overwhelmed with gratitude for returning home.’

The cookbook author conveyed to his 41.9 million followers, “This is everything I managed to prepare for Esti’s birthday.

In the last month, specifically December, Teigen playfully demonstrated that Esti is an ardent admirer of John Cena, capturing on video the instance when she presented the small one with action toys depicting the professional wrestler.

In that moment, the toddler was spotted clutching a box with two small plastic figurines of Cena inside. She gleefully requested Teigen to open it.

While playing with her two dolls, Esti took another reel within the expansive living room of the lavish Beverly Hills mansion.

A few months back, Esti developed an unexpected fascination with John Cena, as she wrote in her caption.

‘So I got her more John Cena’s and now she can’t do anything without a John Cena,’ Chrissy added. 

Chrissy Teigen introduces us to her family, which includes her husband John Legend, along with their daughters Esti, aged eight, Luna, six, and son Miles, six, as well as their youngest, Wren, one year old. They got married in 2013.

Last Wednesday, the media figure shared a picture on her Instagram Stories, indicating that she and her family were forced to leave their house due to the spreading wildfires in Los Angeles, as reported by the media.

In 2020, she bought an extravagant house worth $17.5 million, accompanied by the All Of Me singer. By 2023, they had completed several upgrades, showcasing the renovations to Architectural Digest.

Teigen snapped a selfie in the full-size wardrobe, arranging items in a compact suitcase within it.

She partly concealed her face with her hand and wrote, ‘This feels unreal, I’m quite terrified now… packing up.’

In the latest news, Chrissy informed her fans that she and her loved ones managed to reach a hotel and plan to stay there until the evacuation directive is lifted.

As she playfully displayed her four pups scampering about the room, she humorously penned, ‘Four children, four dogs, and a bearded lizard wandered into a hotel.’

Additionally, she recorded herself sitting beside Legend on a mattress, both of them waiting for news about the blazes.

Later on, Teigen shared a video featuring herself along with their bearded dragon, Sebastian, comfortably perched on her torso. She mentioned that it’s important to ensure he stays warm.

Just prior to being evacuated, the television personality posted a picture on social media showing the fires raging in Los Angeles.

I can’t find the right words to describe it, but it’s a devastating scene. We’re holding up for now, but there are many others who aren’t doing as well. It feels strange saying that we’re okay when so many around us are struggling.

Chrissy went on to say, “I appreciate your contact. At this moment, we’re open to any suggestions to aid our community. If you come across something, don’t hesitate to share. Also, my best wishes go out to the firefighters and emergency responders.

Many local residents and famous personalities, including Miles Teller, Billy Crystal, Anthony Hopkins, Tina Knowles, Paris Hilton, Joshua Jackson, Adam Brody, and Leighton Meester, have sadly lost their homes due to the fires.

The blazes have destroyed around 12,000 structures – which include houses, schools and churches. 

According to NBC News, the Palisades Fire that ignited in the beginning of the previous week due to powerful Santa Ana winds has charred approximately 14,100 acres by Tuesday, with firefighters managing to contain 35% of it.

The Eaton Fire, situated in the regions of Altadena and Pasadena, has scorched over 23,700 acres and is currently under control by 17%.

80,000 individuals across Southern California remain powerless, and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has taken action by issuing an executive order on Monday aimed at speeding up the reconstruction of damaged homes, as reported by NBC.

In response to the criticism he’s received due to the recent fires, Bass declared in a statement: ‘This directive marks the beginning of eliminating unnecessary regulations and administrative hurdles, allowing us to work swiftly, sensibly, and empathetically.’

But, strong winds are forecast for the remainder of this week, peaking on Wednesday, with certain locations experiencing gusts close to 40 mph.
