Troubled Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards announces engagement to pregnant Amanda Conner (and his ex Maci Bookout approves)

Ryan Edwards popped the question to his pregnant girlfriend Amanda Conner.

On a Sunday, the thirty-seven-year-old former Teen Mom star shared on Instagram a sweet video announcing his upcoming wedding to his girlfriend, as they are about to exchange vows.

During a chilly winter vacation, it seemed like the reality TV personality knelt down near a crackling campfire, encircled by his sparkling family members who were all shimmering with love.

It seems that her oldest son, Bentley (who is 16 and has Maci Bookout as his other parent), along with the reality star’s younger children – Jagger (age 6) and Stella (age 5), whom he shares with his ex-wife Mackenzie Standifer – were all present.

Keen-eyed viewers also noticed a film crew capturing the proposal’s scene, implying that it could be included in the upcoming season of Teen Mom: The New Chapter.

Despite the silence in their unique interaction, Ryan played Cooper Alan’s romantic track, “Take Forever (Hally’s Song)” over the video, expressing his love for his soon-to-be wife through the music.

The viral video revealing his surprising news garnered praise from his 223K supporters, who filled the comment section with well-wishes and congratulations for the happy couple-to-be.

Tearfully moved, as he’s triumphed over so many challenges… They’ve both been through it all… And I’m thrilled to witness him finding the love of his own life. Their bond seems to enhance each other. And his ex Maci showed her support for the pair by hitting like on the post. 

Three months ago, the couple announced their pregnancy with a baby girl, marking their first child together; now, they are officially engaged.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t contain my joy as my partner Ryan and I eagerly anticipate the arrival of our baby. Over the past year and a half, we have navigated through challenging times, but now we find ourselves in a peaceful, secure space, filled with love and excitement for the future.

Following the announcement, she revealed some aspirations and goals he has for himself, now that he’s about to be a dad again.

She emphasized the importance of honesty in her relationship, stating, “Honesty is a major aspect for me. It’s crucial to be truthful about ourselves and our relationship with Ryan. I prefer transparency over secrecy.” She also mentioned her intention to tread carefully.

She went on to say: “I aim not to be an overly protective parent, yet I don’t wish for our daughter to experience the hardships we have faced. I simply desire her to be well-informed and adaptable, while maintaining a firm stance on important matters.

Ryan and Amanda, 34, began dating in the summer of 2023 after meeting in rehab.

Later on, I shared about my pregnancy, expressing that we’re blessed to have a loving network of family and friends who are genuinely thrilled about the next phase in our lives, making this journey even more special for us.

It wasn’t until I experienced morning sickness that we discovered the pregnancy. Interestingly, Ryan also had morning sickness, so we thought to confirm with a test, and surprisingly, it turned out to be positive.

Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” will make its debut on MTV’s TV screens on Thursday, January 30th, starting at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time.
