Carrie Underwood will sing at Trump’s second presidential inauguration
Carrie Underwood will sing next week at President-elect Donald Trump’s second inauguration.
It has been verified by the country singer’s representative to The Times that Underwood, aged 41, will be performing on Monday in Washington D.C., where President Trump will take the oath of office as the U.S.’s 47th president.
As a proud citizen, I feel privileged to have been invited to perform at the Inauguration, becoming a tiny piece of this momentous occasion in our nation’s history. The honor is overwhelming, and I am eager to respond to the call during a time when we must unite as one people, focusing on the future with a spirit of unity.
Entertainment & Arts
Carrie Underwood stirred up debate online when she showed approval for a video questioning the need for schoolchildren to wear masks. However, not all reactions were negative.
As a moviegoer, I’m thrilled to share that, according to my sources, Underwood is set to perform “America the Beautiful” in an extraordinary collaboration. Joining him will be the resonant harmonies of the Armed Forces Chorus and the melodious U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club, making for a truly patriotic and moving rendition.
At Donald Trump’s initial inauguration in 2017, The Tabernacle Choir from Temple Square played “America the Beautiful”. Additionally, Jackie Evancho, a past participant of “America’s Got Talent”, sang the national anthem during the event.
