Playboy vet Kendra Wilkinson addresses weight gain and aging after cruel trolls criticize her appearance

On Sunday, Kendra Wilkinson expressed openly on Instagram about the realities of growing older and putting on some extra pounds.

The 39-year-old ex-Playboy centerfold, who confessed to having mental issues during the production of her latest real estate series last year, interacted with her 3.1 million followers by posting an updated picture and video.

The woman with two children, one being a 15-year-old son named Hank Jr. and a 10-year-old daughter named Alijah, whom she had with her former spouse Hank Baskett (aged 42), conveyed to her followers that she is feeling well and mentally sound.

She expressed in a contemplative message: ‘Indeed, I’ve put on some pounds. Absolutely, I’m growing older. Without a doubt, I’m no longer the same person as before (referring to my past party-loving self). But for the first time in a long while, I feel great and mentally sound.’

Overjoyed with pride, she exclaimed, ‘Children are my world! I’m finding a good balance these days, spending more time on exercise and cooking. Also, golfing and working. Currently managing without a housekeeper or nanny.’

The message continued, ‘For those criticizing my recent weight loss or commenting on my 40-year-old appearance, be aware that I’m now content, healthy, and at last finding tranquility in life.’

‘Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together.’

The former reality television personality will turn 40 on June 12.

In advance of potential criticism, she declared, “Feeling fantastic at nearly 40, and to those questioning my drinking habits, I understand your concerns – I’ll make a conscious effort to address them moving forward.

She confessed, “Overindulging in alcohol is indeed overindulging, but let me tell you about what’s approaching in JUNE… Shots! I care for you.

At the beginning of the month Kendra shared another check-in with her audience.

She posted a series of pictures with the caption: “This week is all about releasing what’s no longer needed and cherishing life. Establishing achievable targets.

Refreshing my whole being – mind, body, and spirit. I’m incredibly thankful for my children, friends, and the wonderful work environment I have. Over the coming months, I plan to keep a close eye on my alcohol consumption. Excitedly, I’m looking forward to celebrating my 40th birthday in June!

Then she added lightheartedly, ‘Maybe meet the love of my life lol.’

In the early 2000s, Kendra was well-known as one of Hugh Hefner’s romantic partners, and she appeared in a TV show on E! that offered insights into their lifestyle at the Playboy Mansion, which was titled “The Girls Living Next Door.

She was married to her former football star beau Hank from 2009-2018.

Currently, Wilkinson is employed in the real estate sector and appeared in a Discovery+ show titled “Kendra Sells Hollywood” which ran from 2021 to 2023, focusing on his work experience.

In November, she admitted to people that she felt a tinge of remorse about filming her final show as she wasn’t fully prepared yet.

She shared that her mental state was somewhat unstable, and she hadn’t quite felt ready to appear on camera at that time. In essence, she wasn’t completely healed or emotionally prepared yet. However, now, she feels more composed and present.
