Consequently, players could instantly trade their League Tokens for Rewards in the Store. More recently, FC Mobile has acknowledged the problem and shared information about the upcoming compensation to be provided due to the unintended Leagues bug.

EA acknowledges that an error in the Leagues system enabled players to amass a considerable amount of League Tokens. This unexpected and unintended situation was thoroughly examined by the developers of FC Mobile.

EA has announced fixes and compensation in lieu of the FC Mobile Leagues bug

Initially, EA temporarily halted the League Token Exchange in the Store to prevent players from exchanging their newly acquired tokens and creating new leagues, after a glitch caused an overflow of tokens. Over 24 hours since the bug occurred, the developers of FC Mobile communicated their plan through an in-game message, explaining that the issue was being addressed while assuring players about the necessary steps they were taking to resolve it.

Leagues

  • League Creation will be re-enabled after the issue is fixed.
  • League Token Exchange will be making a comeback in the in-game Store post the devs have adjusted the abnormal amounts.

Just as anticipated, when the bug is resolved and mended, players will be able to establish and participate in fresh leagues again. They can then trade their acquired League Tokens in the built-in game store.

League Token Balances and Rewards

As a passionate gamer, I’m excited to share that Electronic Arts (EA) is taking action to ensure fairness within our gaming community. They will be conducting an investigation into any unfair advantages gained through the League bug loophole. To maintain balance, EA plans to reassess and potentially adjust the League Token amounts, setting a specific threshold. This change aims to prevent players from exploiting these tokens once the League Token Exchange is back in the store.

Furthermore, any Prime Icons obtained from the League Token Exchange by utilizing League Tokens will be transformed into their original versions. In simpler terms, if you’ve utilized a bug to claim either of the untradeable Prime Icons like the 105 OVR ST Samuel Eto’o or the 103 OVR CAM Kaká for your team, they will now be converted back into their Base Icon versions.

Make Good

EA developers admit that the bug they introduced has caused a divide within the gaming community, with some unaware of the glitch or choosing not to exploit it. To make amends for this, EA plans to offer a “Fair Play” reimbursement to those players whose gameplay was significantly affected by the bug. They will share more information about this compensation in the near future.

Community Reactions and its Aftermath on the issue

Over the past few days, there’s been a lot of heated discussion among members of the FC Mobile community. Essentially, the community is split into two groups: those who knew about and took advantage of a bug to claim a substantial number of League Tokens, which they then used to acquire tradeable players and Prime Icons. Unfortunately, the other half of the community didn’t know about this opportunity and, as a result, missed out on this unexpected reward.

It’s clear that no matter what reward EA provided, it wouldn’t meet everyone’s expectations. Lowering Prime Icons to Base level may be appealing to many players, but it’s hard to argue fairness since the issue originated from EA’s side.

Furthermore, if you had obtained a valuable tradeable player from the League Token market and then sold it for a profit, you would be accumulating your coins instead, thus avoiding EA’s suggested change because you effectively used your Tokens without acquiring the untradeable Prime Icons in the process.

It remains unclear what action Electronic Arts (EA) will take as acceptable compensation, as the gaming community is becoming increasingly frustrated and a few Universal Rank Player – Mascheranos isn’t going to cut it, considering they find it “not good”. Although it was justifiable to weaken the Prime Icons, the developers should offer a more equitable reward given the confusion and temporary imbalance brought about by the glitch.
