Kate Ferdinand ‘set for an awkward encounter with her ex boyfriend Dan Edgar’ as Dancing On Ice returns
It’s possible that Kate Ferdinand might experience an uncomfortable meeting with her former boyfriend Dan Edgar, as the show Dancing On Ice is set to air again on British television this coming Sunday.
The reality TV personality, aged 33, who’s wedded to soccer icon Rio, 46, has teamed up with him to cheer on Rio’s sibling, Anton, 39, as he competes on the lavish program, alongside Dan, 34.
2015 saw Kate and Dan in a relationship, with her being presented on The Only Way Is Essex as his intermittent partner.
However, during the progression of the series, Dan faced accusations of cheating in 2016 following six years together in their relationship.
As time went on and the series unfolded, Dan was accused of cheating in 2016 after a six-year stretch in their relationship.
Or:
In the course of the show’s development, Dan encountered allegations of infidelity in 2016 during their six-year partnership.
However, preparing for what might be a chilly reconciliation, a source reveals to The Sun that Kate and Rio are planning to show a harmonious facade instead.
According to the TV insider, Rio and Kate are expected to present a harmonious appearance when they visit the Dancing On Ice studio to observe Anton.
‘It is always awkward seeing an ex; Kate is just glad to have Rio by her side in the audience.
Luckily, Dan’s first skating performance isn’t until next week, which implies Kate won’t need to watch the full act.
Later on, it was clarified that they shared a deep affection for each other, given their on-again, off-again relationship spanning numerous years.
Subsequently, it was affirmed that Kate and Rio are blissfully wedded and remain unfazed when she encounters her former partner on the filming location.
TopMob has contacted representatives of Kate Ferdinand for comment.
Kate found that splitting from Dan wasn’t as straightforward as she had initially suggested, since he often made her feel irrational or unstable.
In my line of work as a lifestyle expert, I recall an instance on TOWIE in 2017 where I found myself engaged in a heated discussion with Dan. What he said to me left quite an impact: “You were making me feel like I was a loose screw, constantly telling me, ‘You’re nuts, you’re inventing things in your head.’ It felt like you were labeling me as crazy.
In retrospect, it seems as though our bond had the depth and longevity of a 30-year marriage, alas, it reached a point where we became irritants to one another in the end.
I’m astonished that things have reached this point. Honestly, I had expected us to remain a couple throughout our lifetimes.
Eight years ago, Kate and Rio celebrated their first meeting, as she affectionately reminisced by posting a touching throwback photo of them both.
In the year 2016, Kate crossed paths with a former football player during their vacation in Dubai, thanks to some common acquaintances.
The couple returned to the UAE for New Year’s Eve in 2025, and Kate posted a warm photo of them having a great time together on their night out.
Alongside the post, she wrote: ‘Rio & I met 8 years ago yesterday.
It’s amazing to reflect on how things have come full circle; we find ourselves once again at the spot where our journey began, having been blessed with two more lovely additions to our family, making us a family of five.
It’s astonishing to ponder how a serendipitous encounter and numerous obstacles along the way have led us to welcome the New Year as a family of seven (with only Lorenz absent).
‘Going in to 2025 feeling very grateful and excited for what’s to come ✨’.
In 2019, Kate and Rio got married, and since then they have become parents to two children. Their firstborn, Cree, arrived in December 2020, while their second child, Shae, was born the previous year through a Caesarean section.
Apart from being his wife, she is also a stepmother to Lorenz (age 18), Tate (age 15), and Tia (age 13), children from his earlier marriage to Rebecca Ellison, who sadly passed away in 2015.
During a family vacation in the Maldives in November, three-year-old Cree urgently needed to be taken to the hospital due to a severe injury.
Previously known reality TV personality, Kate, recently disclosed a concerning situation via her Instagram post, where a photo displayed them both inside an ambulance with their toddler. However, she did not reveal the cause of the child’s injury in her update.
In a rather excited tone, she exclaimed at the end: ‘Our fantastic journey concluded with a fractured collarbone. It seems my son is just prone to getting hurt!’
‘It’s been sleepless nights, cuddles, tv & chocolate since.’
During their remarkable journey, the podcast host recounted the harrowing event that transpired towards its conclusion and mentioned that Cree tends to get hurt often.
She said that since the injury they have been dealing with ‘sleepless nights’ as he recovers.
