PGL Wallachia Season 3 direct invites revealed

PGL Wallachia Season 3 runs from March 8-16, 2025.

For the PGL Wallachia 2025 tournament, PGL has announced the eight direct invites for top-tier teams. These teams are renowned in the gaming community. This tournament boasts an impressive prize fund, while the remaining eight teams will secure their place through regional qualifying events.

Which teams have received a direct PGL Wallachia invite?

  • Team Liquid
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Aurora Gaming
  • Team Falcons
  • Heroic
  • Team Spirit
  • Tundra Esports

At ESL One Bangkok, Team Liquid came in second place, being defeated by PARIVISION during the championship match. The victors of The International 2024 were considered among the top contenders for a direct qualification to PGL Wallachia 2024. Alongside them, Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, and Aurora were chosen to compete in the LAN event taking place in Bucharest, Romania in March.

Regional Qualifier Dates

8 teams have been directly granted entry into the tournament, while an additional 8 teams will earn their spots through regional qualifiers. The regional qualifiers are: Western Europe (2 teams), Eastern Europe (2 teams), Southeast Asia, South America, North America, and China (each sending one team). These qualifiers begin on January 12 and last for four days, concluding on the 15th of the month.

  • Western Europe Closed Qualifier: Two teams – (January 12-15)
  • Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier: Two teams – (January 12-15)
  • Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier: One team – (January 12-15)
  • South America Closed Qualifier: One team – (January 12-15)
  • North America Closed Qualifier: One team – (January 12-15)
  • China Closed Qualifier: One team – (January 12-15)

In both the Western Europe Qualifiers and the South East Asian Qualifiers, fierce competition is expected due to the participation of notable teams such as OG, MOUZ, Nigma Galaxy, and additional participants from Western Europe, while Talon, BOOM, Mongolz, and other teams will compete in South East Asia.

2025’s PGL Wallachia Dota 2 tournament, held at PGL Studios in Bucharest, features 16 teams. The competition begins on March 8 and runs for more than a week. The grand finale is scheduled for March 16, with the victorious team bagging most of the $1,000,000 prize money.
