Chris Pratt surfaces with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger as LA fires threaten their $15.6M home

On Wednesday, Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger made an appearance, with their residence in Pacific Palisades potentially under threat from the encroaching wildfires of Los Angeles.

Starting from Tuesday, the Los Angeles region encountered some of its most powerful windstorms in more than 10 years. These winds sparked numerous fires that have caused extensive damage to many buildings and sadly resulted in at least five casualties over the last 72 hours.

Approximately 130,000 individuals have been either instructed to leave their homes (evacuation orders) or advised to be ready to do so (evacuation warnings), as officials plan to deploy specially trained search dogs (K-9 units) capable of locating human remains amidst the debris.

A fire in the Pacific Palisades has burned down several celebrity homes, among them are dwellings belonging to Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, James Woods, Miles Teller, and Chris’ former wife Anna Faris.

Katherine, aged 35, and Chris, aged 45, possess a luxurious mansion located in Pacific Palisades. They acquired this property at a cost of $15.6 million back in 2021. However, they have yet to disclose if the house managed to withstand the recent fire incident.

On Wednesday, the pair were spotted in the exclusive celebrity area of Montecito, situated within Santa Barbara County, keeping a safe distance from the ongoing disaster happening in Los Angeles.

Despite the potential peril to our home, I managed to display my renowned good spirits, even breaking into a smile as we ventured out together with my wife.

On that particular day, he shared a touching Instagram post acknowledging the tireless work of first responders, accompanied by photographs depicting the fires.

Kindly offer thoughts and resilience this evening to all residents of Los Angeles dealing with the tragic wildfires. The city is currently under an emergency situation, prompting more than 30,000 individuals to leave their homes as per orders.

I’d like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the valiant firefighters and first responders who are tirelessly working to safeguard lives, properties, and wildlife as they confront swift wildfires driven by powerful winds. You are genuine heroes, and we are eternally thankful for your selflessness and bravery. Let’s unite during these challenging times to offer each other support.

In 2019, Katherine, who is both the child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver and a descendant of the Kennedy family, got married to Chris in Montecito.

Since then, the duo has been blessed with three kids: their four-year-old girls Lyla and Eloise, along with their newborn son, Ford, who joined them last November.

Apart from that, Chris shares parenting responsibilities for his 12-year-old boy, Jack Pratt, with his former spouse, Anna Faris. They got married in 2009 but parted ways in 2017.

In 2018, Katherine and Chris purchased a residence in Pacific Palisades, and they put it up for sale in 2023, priced at $32 million, following extensive renovations.

The renovation was extensive enough that the initial 2023 plan had to revise the date of construction for the modernized house, stating it as 2021 instead.

In June of this year, it was revealed that the couple significantly reduced their asking price for their vast property by over $6 million, now listing it at $25,495,000.

In October, just as Katherine was preparing to give birth to her third child, they completely removed the property from the market for sale.

A source close to the matter shared with Realtor.com that Katherine is soon to welcome another child, after which they plan to move. At present, they are preparing their house for sale and intend to re-list it either in January or early February.

In 2019, following my separation from Chris, I invested a whopping $5 million to call the exquisite eco-friendly abode in Pacific Palisades mine. Unfortunately, this beautiful haven of sustainability was reduced to ashes by a devastating fire.

As an ardent admirer, I was left utterly disheartened when aerial snapshots revealed the once graceful estate now lay in shambles, its grandeur diminished to mere remnants, even the glistening swimming pool stood lifeless and devoid of water.

Prior to Anna purchasing the house, the former proprietor had carried out a renovation to obtain a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for the property.

The previous owner of the house had done renovations that earned it a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification before Anna bought it.

As a dedicated advocate for eco-friendly living, I’ve made it a point to incorporate solar-powered amenities and a garage equipped with a Tesla charging station into my home. To further minimize my carbon footprint, I’ve also installed an advanced water filtration and recycling system. According to Architectural Digest, these sustainable upgrades make my living space not only efficient but also stylishly modern.
