Marvel Rivals is Receiving Significant Balance Changes For Season 1

NetEase has announced plans to implement substantial updates to the game “Marvel Rivals” as part of the upcoming Season 1, set to commence the day after tomorrow.

As the proficiency grows, there’s been a notable display of power in compositions that focus on double shields and ranged attacks. Yet, players persistently refine and innovate with fresh compositions and tactics, thereby adding depth to the combat field.

NetEase uses Psylocke and Star-Lord as examples of characters with great mobility and mid-range damage who dominate the battlefield. They also mention Namor and Winter Soldier, who together create powerful defensive counterattacks. Lastly, they emphasize the teamwork between Hulk and Adam Warlock.

Initially, some characters in Season 1 are showing too much power. To create a fair and exciting gameplay environment, we’ll be adding an update with adjustments to these dominant characters, making it easier for other characters to participate in more complex gameplay. This change aims to provide a more varied, immersive, and inclusive gaming experience for everyone, according to the studio.

Changes to the existing Team-Up values will primarily involve minor adjustments rather than major overhauls. On the other hand, you can anticipate some “thrilling revisions and modifications” to Team-Up abilities in Season 2. For now, feel free to explore the complete patch notes, which cover updates for characters such as Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Storm, Wolverine, and many more.
