In a moving turn of events, Curtis Stone and Lindsay Price received a heartfelt note penned by their son, following the compulsory evacuation of their residence due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
In the past few days, I’ve found myself advising many residents of Pacific Palisades to pack up and leave, as an unexpected surge of wildlife has been tearing through this affluent neighborhood since Tuesday. Regrettably, over 1,000 structures have already fallen victim to this destructive force, leaving more than 70,000 people displaced from their homes.
Amongst the devastating wildfires, I found myself deeply saddened to learn that the magnificent residences of some esteemed celebrities – Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Anna Faris, and Paris Hilton – had succumbed to the flames.
Currently, it has been disclosed that Australian chef Curtis (age 49) and his American actress spouse Lindsay (age 48) are part of the individuals who had to leave Palisades.
On Wednesday evening, Lindsay shared via her Instagram Stories that she and Curtis, along with their children Hudson (aged 14) and Emerson (aged 10), were evacuated from their home.
Despite not providing news about their house, Lindsay posted a heart-wrenching photo of the letter her youngest son, Emerson, wrote her following their safe arrival.
In a touching letter, the youth gratefully acknowledged his mother for her composure during the significant emergency and for gathering their possessions while they were being evacuated.
In a truly dire situation, so grave that it felt like a matter of life or death, you managed to maintain your composure and gather our crucial belongings, as the text in the letter expressed.
‘I know you’re scared but everything will be alright, thank you!
‘Thank you for thinking of me and being there for me when I wasn’t there. You rock!
‘You complete my soul and I love you so much. You are the best. Love, Emerson.’
In a different post, Lindsay, recognized for Beverly Hills, 90210, mentioned that she and her family were secure, yet declined to provide details about the current state of their residence.
She wrote, ‘I appreciate your affection and concern. Yesterday, we had to leave due to safety reasons but thankfully, we’re okay. Wishing safety and well-being for our cherished neighborhood of Palisades and the entire Los Angeles.’

Lindsay and Curtis own a five-bedroom mansion in LA, which they purchased for $10.6million in 2018.
In addition, they possess a vast ranch known as Four Stones Farm situated in Malibu Canyon. This property is roughly an hour’s drive away from the Pacific Palisades region, which has recently been affected by fires.
In August 2021, they acquired a property situated over 60 acres of land, subsequently transforming it into an operational farm and vineyard under the management of Curtis.
Over successive wildfires, the Pacific Palisades community has suffered severe damage, making it the most destructive fire event in the state so far.
Among the homes confirmed to have been demolished are those belonging to Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Anna Faris and James Woods, and Miles and Keleigh Teller.
On Tuesday evening, the blazing wildfire advanced rapidly and unfortunately destroyed Paris Hilton’s oceanfront property in Malibu as well.
Similarly, actress Anna Faris’ $5million eco-friendly abode was totally decimated by the blaze.
According to Realtor.com, the residence where Matthew Perry, famously known for his role in Friends, tragically passed away, is located inside the devastated evacuation area of Pacific Palisades.
In response to the destructive California wildfires, Ben Affleck hurriedly made his way to the residence of his former spouse, Jennifer Garner.
Many other stars, along with their nearby companions, find themselves in a state of anticipation as they collectively await news about whether any parts of their estates can be salvaged.
In the heart of Pacific Palisades, a fierce blaze erupted last Tuesday, swiftly encroaching upon neighboring suburbs as an intense windstorm whipped up sparks and debris haphazardly across the landscape. People hurriedly evacuated and anxiously held their breath, eager for updates regarding their neighborhoods, since rumors spread that entire streets had vanished, firefighters were nearing exhaustion of water supplies, and efforts were being redirected to tackle the fire from various directions.
The firefighters have admitted that they can’t control the fire due to the strong gusts of wind.
On Wednesday, Los Angeles’ fire chief reported that the fires resulted in at least five fatalities and a substantial number of injuries.
Approximately 70,000 individuals have been instructed to leave their homes thus far, with this figure fluctuating due to ongoing evacuation orders being given by authorities.
