Nikki Glaser to host Golden Globes ‘for years to come’ with a ‘significant’ pay rise

For several upcoming years, Nikki Glaser has been chosen to host the Golden Globes, receiving high praise for her exceptional performance during last Sunday’s event which many consider among the best hosting in the ceremony’s history.

A confidant near the comedian, aged 40, informed DailyMail.com that Glaser has already committed for the upcoming year and aspires to establish the prestigious hosting role permanently.

‘Nikki aims to maintain a long-term role at the Golden Globes, reminiscent of Ryan Seacrest’s position. According to reports, she has playfully mentioned this goal to her friends.’

They mentioned that she has agreed to stay for a few additional years, but expects to sign another contract following this one and plans to carry on doing it for an extended period.

Additionally, it was mentioned that the producers of the show are optimistic that Glaser could breathe new life into the long-standing award event, making it contemporary and appealing once more.

Despite a decrease in ratings compared to last year, there seemed to be general agreement that everything went smoothly and she excelled, with many praising her performance. As more people view her online performances following the show, and her stardom continues to grow, it’s expected that things will only improve further for her.

Moreover, Deadline indicates that Glaser is set to earn a substantial increase in salary for his upcoming performance next year.

It’s said that she received slightly above $400,000 for hosting yesterday’s event, and she’s expected to make even more when she hosts again next time.

According to reports, Glaser, known for hosting dating shows like FBoy Island and Lovers and Liars on The CW, has supposedly inked a three-year contract with CBS for the Globes.

Recently, the comedian asserted that she was offered a smaller fee compared to a previous male host of the Golden Globes, who received a salary in the six figures range.

On the latest episode of The Howard Stern Show, Glaser, known for her sharp critique of Hollywood, casually mentioned during their conversation: ‘I was quite well compensated – and I’m perfectly fine with that.’

She commented: “A previous host disclosed his earnings during his monologue, and I received less than him, yet it’s fine. I expect to earn more next year. I consider myself adequately compensated for the work I perform. I’m content.

In a widely criticized opening monologue, the star seemed to be joking about Jerrod Carmichael, the 2023 host, who revealed that he was offered half a million dollars to host and humorously stated he accepted the job strictly for the financial gain.

2024 saw Jo Koy receiving the label ‘the most criticized host’ due to a series of negative comments on social media following his poorly received monologue.

‘Yo, I got the gig 10 days ago, you want a perfect monologue? Yo, shut up,’ Koy said. 

During her talk, Glaser made off-color remarks regarding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Trump, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

She left the astonished crowd and spectators stunned when she brought up the scandalous antics of the fallen star, along with the widely circulated story about the thousand bottles of baby oil.

Glaser too touched upon Trump’s win in the presidential election, even though Hollywood predominantly backed the Democratic candidate (Vice President Kamala Harris), and he also made an off-color comment regarding Ben Affleck that involved a reference to a sexual matter.
