Mark Wright made an appearance for the first time following the news that his cherished grandfather, Eddie, had passed away at the age of 92.

On Tuesday, a representative for the ex-TOWIE celebrity shared the unfortunate update with us at TopMob, stating: “Mark’s grandfather passed away last night. He passed away tranquilly at home, enveloped by his cherished family members.

Mark, aged 37 and anticipating his initial parenthood with Michelle Keegan, also 37, displayed resilience while joining an early-morning jog with the team he mentors in Essex on a recent Wednesday.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been diligently balancing my role in mentoring others and maintaining my own physical wellness journey.

Mark cut a sporty figure and kept warm in a Prostate Cancer UK charity bobble hat.

Mark’s late grandfather, Eddie, used to be a professional boxing champion. Last year, he had to spend time in the hospital due to a fall.

As an overly enthusiastic admirer, I’d put it like this: “On this Father’s Day, I’m eagerly making my way to visit the extraordinary Big’ Mark Wright Senior, who’s currently in the hospital after a recent fall. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, I want to express my heartfelt wishes and say, ‘Stay strong, Dad! I’ll see you soon.’

As a seasoned lifestyle expert looking back on my experiences, I must mention my involvement with the esteemed Wright family. Most memorably, I teamed up with my grandson Mark in the captivating BBC series “Who Do You Think You Are?” back in 2019, shining a light on our unique connection to their storied history.

Mark revealed his grandfather was his motivation for going on the show.

He’s expressed a long-standing curiosity about tracing our family roots because his guesses suggest a possible origin, yet the truth remains elusive, as no one has managed to discover it so far.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can’t express enough how fulfilling it is to share with him the heritage he bestowed upon us – his Italian roots. After all the selfless deeds he has done for our family, it’s only fair that we return something of equal value. He’s not just a leader or an authority figure; he’s our king, the pillar of our family, and I cherish every moment I can spend learning from him.

‘It’s hard to repay him but this was that moment before it’s too late.’

In the show, Mark characterized Eddie as a former British boxing champion who is quite tough, but at the same time, he’s a kind-hearted gentleman.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I unveiled a wealth of knowledge about my father’s lineage throughout the show’s duration, and I shared with the audience tales of their upbringing in London’s bustling East End.

My great-great-grandfather, though somewhat rough around the edges, hailing from the East End, was more of a resourceful character than a criminal. He resorted to petty theft, but it was all in an effort to provide for his loved ones.

Originally, he resided in East Ham with eight children in a small dwelling. Initially, I found him questionable, but eventually, I recognized the goodness within him. To join the military, he falsified his age, proving himself to be an exceptional soldier.

Additionally, Mark openly declared his affection for Eddie while hosting his Heart Radio program amid the lockdown, holding back tears as he shared touching messages from listeners yearning for their loved ones.

The message from Grandad struck a chord; it’s been a long time since I’ve felt his presence so deeply, Grandad Eddie. My affection for you knows no bounds, and I eagerly anticipate our reunion.

Ten days ago, it was announced that Eddie was expecting his first child with his wife, Michelle, just before his unfortunate demise.

On December 29, popular TV and radio personality Mark and actress Michelle announced with delight that they’re anticipating the arrival of their first baby in an endearing Instagram post.

Actress Michelle, well-known on Netflix, tenderly held her growing belly and penned: “The year 2025 promises something extraordinary for us…🌟

The couple was inundated with well wishes from friends and relatives on their Instagram post, among them were messages from Rochelle Humes, Kelly Brook, Vicky Pattison, and their closest friend Arg.
