James Norton has revealed his hair transformation, with the actor sporting a shaved head.
The actor, known for roles in “Happy Valley” and “McMafia,” shared a fresh new look on Instagram Stories on Monday (January 6), hinting at his latest project titled “Playing Nice“. In the post he expressed gratitude for the overwhelmingly positive response to the upcoming series, adding that he had shaved off his hair for it.
In simpler terms, an ITV show in four episodes, featuring actors like Niamh Algar, James McArdle, and Jessica Brown Findlay, follows the tale of two sets of parents who are confronted with a terrifying predicament when they discover their toddlers were unintentionally exchanged at birth.

Actor Norton, known for portraying Pete Riley in the miniseries, flaunted his fresh hairdo while discussing the series on This Morning, alongside fellow cast member Algar. During their interview, they were asked to imagine if they themselves were in the characters’ positions.
Norton expressed his enthusiasm about the core idea, stating, “That was the hook that captivated us,” referring to the central premise. When we first encountered the book [by JP Delaney], it posed an intriguing question that left us pondering: ‘What would be your response if you discovered your child wasn’t biologically yours?’
Each time someone is brought up the subject of the hook, it leads to discussions about the concept of child swapping. Remarkably often, so it’s not surprising, although unfortunate, that this idea occurs frequently. Algar further explained that the core plot element functions as a shocking revelation, or in other words, a “bombshell.
She mentioned, “This could lead to tension among the relationships.” Further explaining, “It might stir up internal conflicts for the characters. It’s a matter of wondering, ‘What would I do if I were in their shoes? How would I respond?’
The interview, shared on Instagram by This Morning, garnered comments from viewers. One fan exclaimed, “Watched it all last night. Excellent!” Another found it tense, commenting, “Hard to watch for me,” while a third echoed the first’s sentiment, saying, “Binge-watched, wow, so good.
Playing Nice airs on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
