Pete Davidson’s movie, The Home, is now a hit on streaming services after initially performing poorly. According to Flix Patrol, it’s currently the second most popular movie in the United States.

Right now, The Home is performing slightly below The Strangers: Chapter 2. But it’s holding steady and doesn’t appear to be losing viewers to films like 1992 and The Long Walk.

Pete Davidson stars in The Home, a film he co-wrote with Adam Cantor. He plays Max, a graffiti artist and former foster kid, who gets a chance to avoid jail time by working as a handyman at a retirement home. While there, Max makes friends with the residents, but strange happenings lead him to suspect something sinister is hidden beneath the home’s peaceful exterior.

In addition to Davie Davidson, the cast of The Home includes John Glover, Bruce Altman, Ethan Phillips, Mary Beth Peil, Victor Williams, and Marilee Talkington. Adam Cantor, Mugga, Stuart Rudin, Michael Donaldson, Jessica Hecht, Nathalie Schmidt, Linder Sutton, and Jagger Nelson (playing young Max) also appear in the film.

When The Home premiered in theaters in July 2025, it received a lukewarm reception and didn’t perform well at the box office. It only earned $1.7 million during its entire run, debuting in a crowded market alongside larger films like The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Currently, the movie The Home has a 29% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 55 reviews. Viewers give it a score of 59% on the site, according to over 250 ratings.
