Mark Wright’s grandfather Eddie has died at the age of 91.
On Tuesday, a representative for the ex-TOWIE star confirmed the unfortunate news to TopMob, stating: “Mark’s grandfather passed away last night. He passed away tranquilly at home with his family members present.
As a seasoned boxer turned lifestyle advisor, I found myself in unexpected circumstances last June, following an unfortunate fall that led to my hospitalization. My loved ones swiftly gathered around me, their unwavering support becoming a beacon of strength during this challenging time.

Over time, Eddie became a prominent figure within the Wright family, collaborating with his grandson Mark on the BBC show “Who Do You Think You Are?” in the year 2019. During this journey, they uncovered a Jewish relative who had endured torture during the Spanish Inquisition.
During the show, TOWIE cast member Mark gained insight into his paternal family background as well; he shared how Eddie was raised in the working-class district of London called the East End.
My great-great grandfather, though notorious in the East End, was more of a resourceful character than a villain. He often resorted to petty theft, yet it was all for the sake of providing for his loved ones.
Originally, he resided in East Ham with eight children in a compact dwelling. Initially, I found him problematic, but upon closer observation, I recognized the virtues within him. To enlist in the military, he deceived about his age, yet he proved to be an exceptional soldier.
Speaking about his motivation for appearing on the show, he explained, “I’ve been curious about our ancestry for ages because my grandfather has often speculated about our origins. Yet, no one has ever managed to find out.
It’s wonderful to inform him that he is part of an Italian family, as it’s a joy to repay the immense contributions he has made towards us. After all, he stands as our leader and sovereign.
‘It’s hard to repay him but this was that moment before it’s too late.’
The unfortunate news about Mark emerged ten days subsequent to him disclosing that he and his wife, Michelle Keegan, are anticipating their first child together.
