In 2024, Davina McCall returned to her fitness routine following her recovery from a life-threatening brain tumor, and she was seen sporting her fit physique in workout attire.

The well-known television personality, aged 57, underwent surgery lately, due to the discovery of a non-cancerous brain growth by medical professionals. This condition is quite rare, affecting only approximately 3 out of every million individuals.

The tumor was detected at a private medical facility following her invitation for a health examination, which she received after participating in a discussion about menopause.

She’s evidently made a full recovery, as she was seen at the gym on Tuesday, demonstrating her workout routine to her followers.

In the caption, I shared that I’ve significantly lost my muscle mass following a health issue, and it’s incredibly humbling to be back at the gym now.

She wrote in her caption: ‘I’m resuming my training routine again. I’ve been taking a walk every day. Yesterday, I tried out a 15-minute session at the gym to check it out.’

I’ve significantly reduced my muscle mass, so I’m planning to eat nutritiously and train vigorously! This @ownyourgoalsdavina challenge has arrived at an ideal moment… it feels quite humbling, but in a positive way as I’m taking things easy and focusing on listening to my body… really tuning into its needs. #Strengthandsculpt… joining me for 20 minutes with @richcallender on OYG?

After she shared that she felt she had received a new opportunity to live, following her survival from a potentially fatal brain tumor.

After undergoing a successful surgery to have the growth removed, Davina shared that her continued existence now feels like an extraordinary blessing, as she contemplated the triumph of her newly launched Begin Again podcast.

On Monday, the TV personality shared a video on Instagram expressing gratitude to fans for their backing of her recent endeavor. Simultaneously, she reflected on her personal health odyssey, confessing that she feels like she’s embarking on a new phase in life.

She expressed her gratitude for you joining her on the Begin Again podcast, adding that she’s thoroughly enjoyed creating each episode and getting to know everyone involved.

Recording this podcast has been enjoyable for me because of its vast scope. ‘Begin Again’ can signify various things, including experiences like my recent battle with a potentially life-threatening tumor.

It seems I’m starting anew in an unusual way, perhaps due to a favorable result. It’s as though I’ve been granted a fresh lease on life. The sensation is incredible, nearly like receiving a precious gift.

Previously known as the host of Big Brother, she subsequently discussed how starting over is relevant to others in various scenarios. This included instances like massive crises, job loss, separation through divorce, or unfortunate accidents.

Davina mentioned that she’ll be available to assist individuals who seem stuck in their lives or simply need a bit of motivation, as she shared her aspirations and goals for the podcast’s upcoming developments.

Reflecting for a moment, I realized with a smile, “Once upon a time, Christmas felt overwhelming to me, but not anymore! It seems each year brings fresh opportunities for new beginnings, and that’s something I can truly embrace.

‘I think I’m gonna be a nightmare next year – I’ve gone very self-reflective!’

Previously, it was mentioned that Davina got her diagnosis unexpectedly when she scheduled an appointment for a routine health check-up.

In the video, Davina shared that she received an unexpected health scan result. She initially believed she would excel in it, but discovered she had a benign brain tumor, which is quite uncommon, occurring only about once every three million cases.

For a short time, I chose to avoid dealing with the issue at hand by seeking advice from several neurologists. After hearing various opinions, I came to understand that I needed to confront the matter directly.

This object is rather large; it measures approximately 14 millimeters across, and due to potential complications if it continues to grow, I’ve decided to have it taken out.

She added: ‘Say a prayer for me. I’m in good spirits.’

Davina shared that although there was no imminent danger at present, medical professionals were worried that the tumor might expand further and lead to potential complications.

She shared that her emotions had been fluctuating, and detailed that she was expected to stay in the hospital for at least nine days before returning home.

A colloid cyst refers to a slow-developing growth, usually situated close to the brain’s center, filled with jelly-like substance. These non-cancerous formations are often discovered unintentionally during diagnostic imaging procedures as they can be symptomless.

Should symptoms appear as the tumor expands, they are often described as including particularly intense headaches when first waking up in the morning, feelings of nausea, and vision becoming slightly unclear. Other significant indicators can include sensations of dizziness (vertigo) and seeing double (double vision).

Most patients typically experience headaches, but it’s also common for other symptoms such as dizziness (vertigo), memory difficulties, and double vision to arise in some cases.

In cases where a colloid cyst is sufficiently large, it may block the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the brain. This obstruction can increase the risk of an unexpected and potentially fatal incident.
