Amy Dowden appeared joyful upon her return, as she resumed training for the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour on Monday, having faced a string of health-related issues.

As the 34-year-old dance expert made her way towards rehearsals, she showed a radiant grin, anticipating the upcoming premiere of the show in Birmingham, set for next week in 2025.

Amy wore a baby pink cardigan and black Nike tracksuit bottoms paired with tan slippers.

She completed the look with a black maxi parka jacket and a large black handbag.

Amy added large hooped earrings and a thin silver chain necklace as accessories.

As a devoted devotee, I found myself alongside the Strictly celebrity, who was accompanied by the talented dancer Dianne Buswell. She gracefully donned a lengthy, tanned waterproof coat embellished with intricate drawings, and teamed it elegantly with deep ocean-hued velvet trousers.

A woman, aged 35 from Australia, carried a black backpack, had red earphones around her neck, and held a blue metal coffee cup. She greeted fans with a friendly wave.

The group was joined by Katya Jones, Vito Coppola, Jowita Przystal, Nancy Xu, Kai Widdrington, Michelle Tsiakkas, Neil Jones, Aljaz Skorjanec, Robbie Kmetoni, Karen Hauer, Jake Leigh, Lauren Oakley, and Jason Gilkison as they came in.

Last month, it became known that Amy would join JLS singer JB Gill, aged 38, on the Strictly tour. You may remember that JB was a finalist in December, losing to Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne, who took home the glitterball trophy.

Last month’s news confirmed that Amy will team up with JLS singer JB Gill for the Strictly tour. Many of you might recall that JB came close to winning in December, but Chris McCausland and his partner Dianne claimed victory, taking home the glitterball trophy instead.

Amy felt deeply saddened when she sustained a stress fracture in her shin, which forced her to sit out the second half of the series. Consequently, Lauren Oakley stepped in as Amy’s replacement, teaming up with JB instead.

Last year, I made my comeback to Strictly after a long absence, following my battle with breast cancer and undergoing a mastectomy. Returning to the dance floor was more than just a performance – it was a personal triumph. So, when an injury forced me to withdraw from the competition, the pain of that setback hit especially hard.

Last week Amy revealed how she was still hoping to become a mother one day.

Prior to undergoing chemotherapy, she underwent an egg extraction process to increase the chances of having children with her partner, ballroom dancer Benjamin Jones.

On the What If? podcast, the skilled dancer expressed that they aspire for a family and have embryos preserved due to an early menopause brought on by hormone-induced cancer.

In a few years, assuming it’s safe then, let’s hope we get the chance. If that doesn’t work out, there are plenty of other chances waiting for us, as we’ve discussed before. Here’s hoping our future holds parenthood!

In spring 2023, due to finding a lump in her breast the day prior to her honeymoon, Ms. Dowden, who is also diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, had to withdraw from Strictly.

In these upcoming live performances, the Strictly judges – including Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood, and newcomer Motsi Mabuse – will be making their evaluations.

Janette Manrara, the host of It Takes Two, leads the tour, promising that viewers nationwide are in store for an authentic and delightful experience.

She mentioned: “I’m really looking forward to reuniting with everyone professional, and it’ll be even more delightful to have Amy Dowden return too.

Buswell teamed up with Chris, aged 47, following his triumph as both the first-ever visually impaired competitor and victor on the show.

In the exceptional finale, Chris managed to outshine competitors Tasha Ghouri, JB, and Sarah Hadland by using his charming humor and captivating life story, which proved crucial in rejuvenating the show amidst a series of controversies over the past year.

In the grand finale, I had the privilege to witness the most points-rich performance yet, where every pair showcased an impressive trio of dances for the discerning judges. Later on, our beloved hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman declared me as the victor, bestowing upon me the coveted Glitterball trophy.

In the final dance of the series, Chris earned a flawless 40 points on his waltz to “You’ll Never Walk Alone” by Gerry and the Pacemakers, leaving both judges and spectators in tears.

For the second performance, he combined various dance genres to the song “You Get What You Give” by New Radicals, and he reenacted his popular “blackout” move during their first dance.

Alongside them, Chris and Dianne moved rhythmically to the melody they preferred – “Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)” by the renowned artist, John Lennon.

After Chris emerged victorious, he burst into tears as he was warmly greeted by his celebrity peers. Exulting, he hoisted Dianne up onto his shoulders in a display of triumph, sending the crowd into an excited frenzy.
