Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson have awkward encounter at Golden Globes amid Fast & Furious feud

At this year’s Golden Globe Awards on a Sunday, Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson experienced an uncomfortable incident, rekindling memories of their disagreement during the filming of 2017’s The Fate of the Furious.

In the movies Fast Five, Furious 6, and The Fate of the Furious, Diesel, who is 57, and Johnson, aged 52, were costars. However, Johnson made news when he publicly criticized an unnamed coworker, which was later revealed to be Diesel.

The disagreement led to Johnson parting ways with the primary production, instead opting to star alongside Jason Statham in the spin-off movie titled Hobbs & Shaw.

After all this time, it remains unclear whether the tension between them has lessened, but it’s significant to mention that Johnson hasn’t re-joined the team yet.

During the Golden Globes ceremony, some viewers noticed an uncomfortable moment when Diesel stepped up to announce the award for box office success.

Instead of merely chuckling it away, some perceived his response as potentially escalating into an incident reminiscent of Will Smith’s slap of Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars.

At the awards ceremony, Vin Diesel approached to present the award for both cinematic and box office success. When he saw Dwayne Johnson, he called out “Dwayne,” which made the moment surprisingly awkward, and it was quite amusing! (laughter out loud)

Emilykmm posted, “It seemed like we might have a situation similar to the Chris Rock/Will Smith incident involving Vin Diesel and The Rock.

A supporter referred to as @ashtonmorris1 commented, ‘Even though Vin Diesel and The Rock are in their 50s, it doesn’t matter to me if they’ll throw a friendly punch. Their rivalry is undeniable.’
