Jake Gyllenhaal, 44, makes rare red carpet pose with girlfriend Jeanne Cadieu, 28, at 2025 Golden Globes

At the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, held on a Sunday evening, Jake Gyllenhaal attended alongside his relatively younger partner, Jeanne Cadieu, in an uncommon appearance on the red carpet.

At the glamorous event, the actor from Road House (who is 44 years old) affectionately placed an arm around the petite waist of the 28-year-old French model before snapping some pictures together.

Gyllenhaal and Cadieu held hands as they ventured around the iconic Beverly Hilton hotel.

The handsome age-gap couple have been romantically linked since 2018. 

For the event, Gyllenhaal looked sharp in a black suit jacket and slacks with a satin waistband.

Instead of leaving his white dress shirt slightly unbuttoned, the actor opted for a casual, open-necked style. He also wore multiple chain necklaces as accessories.

Cadieu exuded elegance in a tuxedo-inspired black and white halter gown.

A slit up the frock of the runway maven’s frock allowed her to showcase her slim legs.

Letting her natural beauty shine, Cadieu opted for soft glam makeup and sleek, straightened locks.

While making their way to their seats, the couple ran into Tilda Swinton, 64.

The 2025 Golden Globe ceremony, led by the hilarious Nikki Glaser who’s been nominated for an Emmy, will be happening at The Beverly Hilton hotel in LA.

Wicked’s Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo and musical drama Emilia Perez lead the nominations.

The surreal, narco-thriller musical by Jacques Audiard, telling the story of a Mexican drug lord transforming into a woman, received the most nominations (10), making the competition for the Oscars more intense.

In this groundbreaking movie, Karla Sofia Gascon plays the lead role (as the title character), while Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana contribute their talents in secondary roles.

The trio are nominated for Golden Globe Awards, scheduled for January 5th. These awards are often considered a predictor for the Oscars.

The blockbuster film adaption of the popular Broadway musical “Wicked,” titled “Wicked,” received four nominations. These included individual nominations for pop star Ariana Grande and Tony Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo.

In a remarkable breakthrough, Grande has been recognized with her inaugural Golden Globe nomination. She is listed among the contenders in the ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture’ category, which she earned through her captivating portrayal of Galinda Upland in the fantasy drama.

In a collaborative effort, the multitalented actress is set to perform side by side with her dear friend Selena Gomez, as well as Margaret Qualley, who garnered widespread acclaim for her role in the chilling horror film “The Substance.

In addition to her role, Isabella Rossellini appears in the film Concave, just as Zoe Saldana does for her portrayal of Emilia Perez.

Before the announcement of nominations, Clayton Davis, a senior editor at Variety for awards, proposed that the final three award categories of the event could be reserved for recognition in the comedy-musical genre, particularly the lead actress category, which he referred to as the highly competitive “category of bloodbath.

Among the potential contenders for the Lead Actress award, there might be a four-way tie between Karla Sofia Gascon from Erivo, Emilia Perez’s character, Mikey Madison from Anora, Amy Adams for Nightb***h, and Demi Moore in The Substance. Zendaya, who stars in Challengers, is also among the challengers.

I can hardly wait to witness their outstanding performances on the big screen!

This category also includes two movies where Timothée Chalamet stars: the yet-to-be-released film about Bob Dylan’s life titled “A Complete Unknown,” as well as “Dune: Part Two,” directed by Denis Villeneuve.

Timothée Chalamet is nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture, alongside Daniel Craig (British actor) from Queer, Sebastian Stan for his portrayal of Donald Trump in The Apprentice, and Colman Domingo for Sing Sing – a movie about a man who discovers meaning by participating in a theater troupe while serving time for a crime he didn’t commit.

Among those nominated for Conclave, British actor Ralph Fiennes stands out as the frontrunner in the Best Actor in a Drama category due to his compelling performance as a troubled priest presiding over a papal election.

English actor Eddie Redmayne found himself among the front-runners when he was nominated in the Best Television Actor in a Drama Series category for his leading performance in Sky Original series “The Day of the Jackal.

In the competition for “Presumed Innocent,” the actor is up against strong opposition from Jake Gyllenhaal. Meanwhile, Donald Glover secures a nomination for his performance in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

In the Disney+ series “Slow Horses,” Gary Oldman’s captivating performance has garnered a well-deserved nomination. Meanwhile, Hiroyuki Sanada and Billy Bob Thornton have also been recognized with nominations for their exceptional work in “Shogun” and “Landman.

The Netflix drama “Baby Reindeer,” penned by Richard Gadd, has received recognition as well. It’s been nominated in the category for ‘Best Limited Series or Anthology Series’ and ‘Television Motion Picture’, while its leading actress, Jessica Gunning, has been singled out in the ‘Best Supporting Female Actor’ category.

The show will be airing alongside other notable titles such as Ripley, the debated biopic “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” “True Detective: Night Country,” another series named Ripley, and a program called “The Penguin.

In the Male Actor in a Limited Series category, a young Reindeer named Baby has earned another recognition, sharing the stage with Colin Farrell in “The Penguin”, Kevin Kline in “Disclaimer”, Andrew Scott in “Ripley”, another Kevin Kline also in “Disclaimer”, and debutant Cooper Koch in “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”.

Interestingly, Jon M. Chu and Ridley Scott, who directed the hit movies “Wicked” and “Gladiator II,” respectively, were left out of the Best Director – Motion Picture category despite their films raking in impressive earnings at the box office.

In this case, Emilia Perez teams up with Jacques Audiard, Sean Baker, Edward Berger, Bradley Corbet, Coralie Fareget, and Payal Kapadia in a fiercely competitive lineup of six directors for projects named Anora, Concave, The Brutalist, The Substance, and All We Imagine Is Light.

The multiple award-winning Australian actress, Cate Blanchett, has received yet another recognition, receiving a nomination for ‘Best Female Actor in a Limited Series’ category, for her performance in the series titled Disclaimer.

In the following productions, she collaborates with Jodie Foster (True Detective: Night Country), Naomi Watts (Feud: Capote Vs The Swans), Cristin Milito (The Penguin), and the renowned British actress Kate Winslet (The Regime).

In other news, Jeremy Allen White has been nominated once more for “The Bear,” this occasion recognizing him as a contender for the Best Television Actor in a Comedic or Musical Series.

In the production, the actor will team up with Adam Brody for “Nobody Wants This”, Ted Danson for “A Man on the Inside”, and both Steve Martin and Martin Short in “Only Murders in the Building”.
