Finn Wolfhard’s underseen comedy is now available to watch on Netflix

As a die-hard fan who has grown up alongside the brilliant cast of Stranger Things, I must say that Finn Wolfhard’s latest venture, When You Finish Saving the World, is a refreshing change from the supernatural thrills we’re used to seeing him in. Watching this heartfelt drama on Netflix UK and Ireland feels like catching up with an old friend you hadn’t realized you missed until they were there again.

Julianne Moore, always a delight to watch, brings her A-game as the mother trying to connect with her son, while Alisha Boe from 13 Reasons Why adds depth and emotion to the storyline. The film is Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut, and he does an impressive job of navigating this complex narrative.

I must admit, I was a bit disappointed that we didn’t get to see Finn on the big screen in the UK with this one, but now that it’s on Netflix, I can watch it whenever I want – no more waiting in line for tickets or dealing with rowdy moviegoers!

Speaking of which, if you haven’t seen Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network, I highly recommend giving it a watch. It’s like when Mike Wheeler tries to hack the school computer system – pure genius! But remember, don’t try this at home, kids. Leave the hacking to the pros… or Finn Wolfhard’s character on Stranger Things.

The comedy movie “When You Finish Saving the World,” starring “Stranger Things” actor Finn Wolfhard, can now be streamed on Netflix in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Additionally featuring Julianne Moore from “The Room Next Door,” the movie delves into the tense bond between a mother who operates a Survivors’ Center for Domestic Abuse victims and her seemingly neglected son.

With another mother-and-son duo seeking refuge at the center, our main characters find themselves delving deeper into their connection, hoping to mend the fractured ties between them.

Following its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2022, the movie had a limited run in U.S. cinemas via A24, but it didn’t make it to any screens in the United Kingdom.

The film titled When You Finish Saving the World features Alisha Boe, well-known from 13 Reasons Why, marking it as the first feature film directed by Jesse Eisenberg.

The movie will soon be available on Netflix, marking Jesse Eisenberg’s newest directorial project set to premiere in UK theaters.

On the 10th of January, the movie “A Real Pain” is set to release. This film features Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin from “Succession,” portraying cousins who embark on a journey to Poland to pay tribute to their deceased grandmother and explore their Jewish roots.

After premiering at Sundance last year, the movie received an extremely impressive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and as I’m writing this, it has maintained a high score of 96%.

In the meantime, shooting for the fifth and last season of “Stranger Things” has concluded, as evidenced by a touching tribute from Millie Bobby Brown on video.

She expressed that she isn’t even close to being prepared to part ways with her fellow actors and team. She cherishes every single one of them, and the memories and connections they’ve built will remain etched in her heart forever. She loves them all. Thank you.
