TJ Holmes and Amy Robach explain why they WON'T get engaged on Christmas day

As someone who has lived through the tumultuous rollercoaster of love and relationships, I find the story of TJ Holmes and Amy Robach particularly captivating. Their journey, filled with twists and turns, mirrors the complexities of life itself.

TJ Holmes clarified that Amy Robach won’t receive an engagement ring as a surprise on Christmas, since she herself doesn’t desire one.

47-year-old Holmes, hurt during the Chicago Marathon in October, elaborated on the cause of his injury in an episode of their podcast, Amy & TJ, which was published on Christmas day.

In their discussion, Robach, aged 51, unequivocally expressed her preference for keeping marriage proposals separate from the festive season.

The pair were discussing the most popular day for proposals, which their research found said was Christmas day.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but feel that my ideal vacation is distinct from any extraordinary occasions. To me, it’s truly magical when these unique moments stand alone, creating their very own unforgettable experiences. That’s what Robach had to say on the matter.

Later on, she shared some wise insights: “Working on a significant project during a major celebration might diminish the joy of the event somewhat, if things don’t go as planned. It’s worth keeping in mind.

The discussion came up in a question and answer episode, inspired by fans’ inquiries into their possible future.

Holmes clarified to the crowd that there would definitely not be a Christmas Day proposal taking place.

In the course of their chat, they talked about the marriage proposals they had received before, as both of them have been married once previously.

Robach, who was previously married to former MLB player Tim McIntosh (from 1996 to 2008) and actor Andrew Shue (from 2010 to 2023), mentioned that proposals in her past occurred on days without special meaning.

Holmes, who was wedded to journalist Amy Ferson from 2004 to 2007 and attorney Marilee Fiebig from 2010 until 2023, stated, “I believe ‘haphazard’ and ‘trivial’ could describe a multitude of things.

In an unusual twist of fate, Shue and Fiebig started dating each other soon after their splits.

They’ve successfully created a family that brings together Robach’s daughters Ava (almost 22) and Analise (18), who are from her first marriage, along with Holmes’ children Brianna, Jaiden (all from his marriage to Ferson) and Sabine (11), whom he has with Fiebig.

Holmes and Robach first crossed paths during their work on the third hour segment of Good Morning America. They assert that their respective marriages were experiencing difficulties prior to their romantic involvement.

In December 2022, they were temporarily removed from their hosting responsibilities, and by January 2023, their contract was formally ended. However, they started their podcast in December of that same year.

In the previous episode, they mentioned about a future proposal, implying that it was not a question of ‘if’, but rather a matter of ‘when’ for both their romantic and business relationship.

The couple have also launched another show, Morning Run, in September.

In the podcast, they delve back into their initial reporting areas, discussing current events, entertainment, and trends related to daily life.
