After many years, Georgia uncovered some surprising news that led her to Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to find out the truth about the past.
But Georgia has no idea of the danger she is in through her quest to uncover the truth.
Brothers Harry and Jack Williams, known for creating the hit shows The Missing and Baptiste, and for their work on Fleabag, also wrote The Widow.

I’m really excited about the cast for this! Kate Beckinsale is fantastic, and they’ve also got Alex Kingston, who I loved in ER and Doctor Who. Plus, Charles Dance from Game of Thrones is in it, and Babs Olusanmokun who was great in Dune! It’s a really strong lineup.
The Widow divided critics when it aired in 2019 and carries a 57 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Screen Rant acknowledged that Kate Beckinsale is capable of leading a TV show, but they also felt the series takes too long to get going and shouldn’t rely so heavily on her to carry it.
