Geri Halliwell and husband Christian Horner enjoy a day out at the Point-to-Point races as they watch their horse Lift Me Up compete

Geri Halliwell and her husband, Christian Horner, went to the Point-to-Point races in Worcestershire on Thursday.

Victoria Beckham, age 52, and her husband Christian Horner, 51, were at the races with Christian’s parents, Sara and Garry, to support their horse, Lift Me Up, as it competed.

For the occasion, Geri looked chic in a white padded jacket layered over a beige jumper and jeans.

She kept warm with a cream scarf and added a green hat.

Meanwhile, Christian opted for a grey flat cap paired with a wax jacket and jeans.

The pair appeared in good spirits as they were seen waving while enjoying the event.

Despite the positive aspects, their horse didn’t perform well, finishing last in a small race with only three participants.

This revelation follows closely after the latest season of Drive To Survive showed Christian Horner telling his wife, Geri, about his dismissal as team principal of the Red Bull Formula 1 team.

The team leader, who had been in charge for many years, was removed from his position halfway through the 2025 season. This followed rumors of an internal power struggle within the Thai-Austrian racing team, and came just a year after a scandal involving inappropriate text messages that had caused a major stir in the Formula One world.

Christian Horner ultimately left the team in July with a deal worth £80 million. Though his departure surprised many in the racing world, sources say Geri Horner had a feeling he wouldn’t be staying at Red Bull for much longer.

In one episode of the docu-series, Christian Horner had a candid conversation with his wife in the sunroom of their kitchen. He began the discussion with a somber “hey darling.”

“It’s finished,” Christian said, kissing Geri’s forehead before settling at the table to enjoy the latte that was waiting for him.

Christian appeared upset as Geri quickly shared what had been discussed in the meeting, then asked, “How are you doing?”

‘How do I feel?’ Christian wondered aloud. ‘Um… I never imagined to be in this position.

It’s natural to feel angry and resentful when someone does something awful to you, especially when something valuable is taken away without your consent. Your first instinct is likely to want to retaliate.

You actually predicted something bad would occur. I recall returning from the race in Austria, and you were sitting on the bed one night, saying you just knew something terrible was about to happen.

Geri confirmed that she had said that they were going to ‘fire’ her husband.

Later in the episode, viewers saw Christian and Geri watching a car race on TV. This was a new experience for Christian, who had been team principal since 2005 and usually attended races in person.

“It’s like there’s no information at all!” Christian exclaimed. “Usually, I’d be overwhelmed with sound, so it feels like I can’t perceive anything.”

Geri admitted that she now felt ‘a bit sad watching this’ as her eyes filled with tears.

Geri frequently attended Formula 1 races with her husband, especially at the beginning and end of the season, and at races close to home like the British Grand Prix. She was often seen in the paddock area.

In February 2024, when private and compromising messages allegedly from Christian Horner were leaked, Geri Halliwell-Horner immediately traveled to Bahrain to support him.

Christian faced accusations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior from a female colleague. Two internal investigations, conducted by KCs, found no evidence of wrongdoing, and Geri supported him during this time.

Back home in the Cotswolds, Geri attempted to lighten the atmosphere by jokingly suggesting Christian might be overeating to cope with his emotions.

Feeling much better, the couple playfully messed around by the pool. Christian jokingly pretended to push Geri in, and she playfully scolded him, calling him a silly name.

In this episode, Christian discusses who he thinks caused him to lose his job, addressing rumors that Max Verstappen and his father, Jos, were involved.

Christian acknowledged his father-in-law hasn’t always approved of him, and has openly shared those feelings. He was responding to a question about whether the Verstappens were behind a recent decision.

I don’t think Max Verstappen or his father had anything to do with this. It seems Oliver Mintzlaff made the decision, with Helmut Marko offering input.

Things shifted at the company after the founder passed away, and following Dietrich Mateschitz’s death, I was likely seen as having too much influence.

Since being let go from his team, Christian has been looking for a way back into racing. He recently mentioned feeling like he still had goals to achieve, and has been connected with potential opportunities at other teams, such as Aston Martin.

Christian explained at the Dublin European Motorshow that he wouldn’t return unless he believed a project had a real chance of success. He stated he’s only interested in things with the potential to win.

I’m not eager to return to racing unless I have a clear role. I really miss the competition, the people involved, and especially the team I put together.
