As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for the Yakuza series and an unhealthy obsession with Critical Role, I can hardly contain my excitement over the English dub version of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii! The casting is nothing short of brilliant, particularly Matthew Mercer as Goro Majima. His vocal range and acting prowess have graced the worlds of both Dragon Age and Final Fantasy, so it’s no surprise he’ll bring Majima to life in a way that only Mercer can.
SEGA unveiled a sneak peek at the English-dubbed version of “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” in a fresh trailer, and they also announced their English language voice acting team.
In this production, Matthew Mercer from Critical Role takes the main role as Goro Majima. Joining him is Samoa Joe, a former WWE star, portraying Raymond Law. Additionally, Maya Tuttle plays Noah Rich, and Jeremy Brandt assumes the character of Jason Rich, both set in the game’s Rich Island environment.
Completing our ensemble are Brent Mukai as Masaru Fujita, James Kirkland as Taiga Saejima, and Debra Wilson as Queen Michele. You can preview the new English dub trailer below. The game Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is set to debut on 21st February 2025 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
