David Harbour confirms Christmas movie sequel with excellent photo

As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless franchises, I must say, the announcement of “Violent Night 2” has sent a thrill down my gaming-weary spine! The original film was a delightful blend of action, humor, and holiday spirit that I eagerly devoured. To know there’s more on the way is like finding a rare collectible in an old game box – pure joy!

David Harbour has confirmed Violent Night 2 is on the way with a cheeky festive snap.

In the movie “Violent Night,” the lead actor from “Stranger Things” portrays a ruthless version of Santa Claus, battling against hired gunmen who’ve seized a prosperous family during their holiday celebration, turning what should be a festive occasion into a night of chaos.

As a diehard enthusiast, I can’t help but share my excitement about the chilling horror movie that also features John Leguizamo, Alex Hassell, and Beverly D’Angelo. This blood-curdling masterpiece, released in 2022, has undeniably earned its place as a must-watch during holiday seasons. The clamor from fans for a sequel is deafening!

Now, their Christmas dream has come true as the actor from Hellboy officially announced it by taking a photo with the jolly old man in red – none other than Santa Claus!

Sat next to Santa, Harbour can be seen holding a script with “Violent Night 2” on the cover.

Among them was Randy Havens, Harbour’s co-star on Stranger Things, who wrote: “Bells of slaughter ring, are you hearing? In the snow, blood is shimmering! It’s obvious I am VERY ENTHUSIASTIC.

Earlier this year, producers Kelly McCormick and David Leitch shared a thrilling piece of news about the upcoming sequel, hinting that the progress was exceptionally smooth.

At the SXSW event discussing The Fall Guy, they mentioned that they are considering a return to those universes. They hinted at possible releases for Nobody 2 towards the end of this year, and for Violent Night 2 at the beginning of next year, if everyone’s schedules allow it.

“But the development’s going super well and everybody’s really, really excited about moving those worlds forward.”

In a different conversation, Harbour disclosed that production for Violent Night 2 had started, only to be paused during the 2023 writers’ (WGA) and actors’ (SAG-AFTRA) strikes.

As a gamer, I was eagerly anticipating some potential updates before the writer’s strike hit. If they manage to sort out all these work-related complications, we might just find a place for those developments in our gaming world. I shared this with Collider.

“If the studios would please go to the table and end these labor issues, we could shoot all kinds of things I’d love to give to the people! But yes, we’re in the process.”
