Mortal Kombat 1 Celebrates the Holidays With a Series of Themed Towers Starting With 'Bloody Snow' From Today

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent mastering the art of virtual combat, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement at the prospect of Mortal Kombat 1‘s holiday events! The thought of donning Quan Chi in ‘Yuletide Necromancer’ or ‘Christmas Evil’ color palettes while battling it out on the snowy battlefields is nothing short of enticing.

In a festive announcement, WB Games and NetherRealm have unveiled a fresh array of holiday-themed activities for Mortal Kombat 1, commencing today with the introduction of the ‘Bloody Snow’ Towers of Time mode. By participating in this mode, players can secure the ‘Yuletide Necromancer’ and ‘Christmas Evil’ skin variations for Quan Chi.

Starting from December 21st until the 26th, we’ll have our ‘Naughty List’ in operation, with ‘Bloody Snow’ wrapping up on the 25th. During this period, Ermac will receive the ‘Souls of Winter’ and ‘Holiday Collection’ character palettes as part of the Naughty List. Immediately following, from December 23rd to 30th, we’ll have the ‘A Christmas Krampus’ Tower on offer.

For Takeda, the ‘Holiday Hero’ and ‘Winter Wonderman’ collections will be showcased, while the ‘Twas the Night’ tower will be active from the 25th to the 30th of December, featuring the ‘Angel on High’ and ‘Holidazzle’ hues. Cyrax will conclude the holiday events with the ‘Final Present’ tower from the 26th to the 30th of December.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that upon completing The Final Present Tower, I’ll gain access to two captivating character palettes: ‘Eat, Drink, and Be Lethal’ for Sektor and ‘Bah, Humbug.’ Moreover, the festive spirit is not left behind! You’ll have an opportunity to buy holiday-themed skins for the Kameo Fighters Frost and Sareena. Last but not least, beloved seasonal characters such as ‘Santa’s Helper’ Reptile, ‘Krampus’ General Shao, and ‘Mrs. Klause’ Kitana will make their return, adding a touch of holiday cheer to the game!

Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
