The White Lotus star joins new Netflix horror series

As a seasoned gamer of the small screen, I must admit that my heart skipped a beat when I heard Adam DiMarco from “The White Lotus” is jumping ship to another chilling series on Netflix! The Duffer Brothers are known for their knack for crafting intriguing stories, so I’m eagerly anticipating the mystery unfolding in “Something Very Bad is Going to Happen.

Actor Adam DiMarco, who appears in “The White Lotus” season 2, is among the two actors verified to be part of a forthcoming horror series on Netflix, created by the minds behind “Stranger Things.

According to Variety, actress Camila Morrone, known for her roles in DiMarco and Daisy Jones and the Six, will take on the leading role in a film titled Something Very Bad is Going to Happen. The Duffer Brothers have been announced as executive producers of this upcoming production.

In simple terms, the upcoming series, titled “Baby Reindeer,” will have at least four episodes directed by Weronika Tofilska. The creative mind behind this series is Haley Z Boston.

The duo will be playing a couple set to tie the knot in just a week’s time, but as the day looms… something very bad happens.

DiMarco gained prominence for his role in the second season of “The White Lotus,” portraying Albie – a character whose romantic vacation encounter with Portia was abruptly terminated as she became involved with the roguish Jack instead.

Later, he found himself involved in an ill-fated relationship with sex worker Lucia. However, the situation turned against him as she manipulated him and deceived him into handing over a substantial amount of money.

HBO just dropped a trailer for season 3 of The White Lotus, set in Thailand. New guests this time include Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Michelle Monaghan, Fallout‘s Walton Goggins and Sex Education‘s Aimee Lou Wood.

In a new development, actress Natasha Rothwell reappears in her role as Belinda, having been relocated through an exchange program. Could this character experience a similar transformation or outcome as Jennifer Coolidge’s Tanya did, moving from season one to season two?

Thankfully, we won’t have long to wait for the season, as it’ll premiere in February 2025.

In just under two years, starting from February 17, 2025, you can catch the third season of “The White Lotus” on Sky Atlantic, Sky Go, and NOW. If you haven’t seen the first two seasons yet, they are currently available for streaming on Sky Go/NOW. The show originally airs on HBO, but in the US, it streams on Max.
