As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as I witness the CS2 roster shuffle ahead of the 2025 season. It’s like watching a well-choreographed dance where each move is calculated, strategic, and potentially game-changing.

CS2 roster shuffle season is upon us, and teams are getting started early.

As we approach the end of the 2024 CS2 season, following the Shanghai Major, teams will take some time to rejuvenate and gear up for the upcoming year. Nevertheless, some top-tier groups won’t be fielding the same lineup in 2025, as several teams are planning roster changes.

After the 2024 season concluded, I took a closer look at all the significant roster changes among the CS2 teams. Some squads kicked off these adjustments right after their elimination from the Shanghai Major!

On December 17th, it appears that m0NESY, the G2 AWPer, is expected to remain the team’s focal point for the near term, as suggested by HLTV and trusted source neL.

Dec. 14: TSM part ways with Valde, niko, and Rejin (coach) and bench sirah, acoR, and Zyphon.

Dec. 12: Fnatic release coach keita after three years.

On December 11th: Farewell to complexity, including their head coach JamezIRL, and their assistant coach. Floppy, who joined the team as an assistant in late 2019, stepped into the anchor role earlier this year, having spent nearly three years with the organization but just falling short of completing his tenure.

Dec. 10: Virtus.pro bench captain and AWPer Jame after five years at the organization.

December 9th: Maxster leaves Ninjas in Pyjamas.

December 5th update: I’ve taken up the head coaching position for our team, Lack1, following a 3-month stint as an assistant under Brain at Aurora. Excited to lead and guide my fellow gamers!

Dec. 4: Ewjerkz is released from SAW, with the Portuguese squad acquiring shr as his replacement.

Dec. 1: Misutaaa, s0und moved to the inactive list at 9INE.

Nov. 30: The Perfect World Shanghai Major began.

Nov. 28: Deko departs Aurora; announces a break from competitive play.

Nov. 27: 9Pandas bench glowiing and iDISBALANCE.

November 26th Update: Players KaiR0N- and nafany were taken out of the BetBoom team, as their squad did not make it to the Shanghai Major qualifiers.

On November 21st: The Falcons release Snappi, maden, and dupreeh as they make room for NiKo from G2, who will join them following the Shanghai Major. AWPer s1mple’s loan period ends, with the Falcons deciding not to retain the Ukrainian sensation as a permanent member.

Nov. 11: The Shanghai Major RMR qualifiers begin.
