In the 1800s, nestled in Germany, the story of Nosferatu unfolds. It centers around Thomas Hutter, a property broker, and his freshly wedded wife Ellen. Their journey takes them to the ominous Carpathian Mountains of Romania, where they cross paths with the enigmatic Count Orlok, who happens to be a potential client.
When Hutter was away, it was his newlywed wife, Ellen, who was looked after by their friends, Friedrich and Anna Harding. (Or: In Hutter’s absence, Ellen, his new bride, was taken care of by their friends, Friedrich and Anna Harding.)
Overwhelmed by nightmarish images and a growing feeling of fear, Ellen eventually comes face-to-face with a malevolent entity that exceeds her power to manage.
Nosferatu premieres in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024.
