As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Amy Pejkovic’s revelation about being single at 31 and moving back in with her parents strikes a chord in me. While I haven’t been an AFL WAG myself, I have certainly found myself in similar situations where life doesn’t turn out exactly as planned.

Amy Pejkovic, formerly associated with AFL, recently shared her honest struggles with being single in her 30s after parting ways with Essendon player, David Zaharakis.

At thirty-one, I’ve found myself grappling with the challenging transition of being single at this stage of my life. After a recent breakup, I find myself moving back under my parents’ roof, adapting to a new living arrangement that was unexpected but necessary.

In a video she shared on Instagram, Amy expressed surprise by saying, “I never imagined I’d find myself single at the age of 31.

She admitted she felt humiliated over the situation.

She stated, “In my youth, I believed I’d be married, have children, and own a home by the age of 31. However, life took an unexpected turn, and now I find myself living back with my parents, feeling more like a teenager again!

Feeling a bit awkward because at age 31, I’m still unattached while so many of my peers seem to be contentedly partnered up.

‘I look at myself and I am just not where I thought I would be. It’s a hard pill to swallow.’

Amy concluded by expressing optimism about the situation improving and inviting her followers to share their own positive experiences with her.

‘It’s a hard pill to swallow but you will be okay,’ one fan wrote.

A second person chimed in, saying, ‘There’s no need for embarrassment here. This is quite common nowadays.’

Recently, it became known that Amy was dealing with a heartbreak, yet she managed her breakup in a grown-up manner.

After recognizing that their personalities didn’t align well for a romantic relationship, the model and the AFL star decided to go separate ways as partners.

They had been dating for four years, and are said to have made the decision to break up together.

‘We decided we’d be better as friends,’ she told the Herald Sun on Sunday.

‘I’m proud of how we’ve handled it. We weren’t as compatible as we thought,’ she continued.

I hold a profound affection for him, filled with deep respect, and that love persists to this day. I can’t help but be amazed by him, and his eagerness to witness my upcoming endeavors is palpable. Such is the ebb and flow of life.

Amy mentioned that she’s currently concentrating on her professional growth, and there’s a possibility she might relocate to Europe to delve into modeling and ambassador roles.

She’s scheduled for performances at both the Australian Open and the Australian Grand Prix, which are approaching quickly on her packed schedule.

Zaharakis has also been making changes in his life and career.

Previously, a midfielder from Essendon, is now excelling remarkably in transitioning to an Ironman competitor. This month, he will challenge the absolute top-tier athletes in the sport’s global championship.

Zaharakis played 226 games across 13 AFL seasons for the Bombers before retiring in 2021.

He was a fan favourite of supporters decked out in red and black, and in 2013 snared the Anzac Day Medal following a commanding performance against Collingwood as well as the being crowned the club’s best and fairest player in 2011.
