As a compassionate observer, I find myself deeply moved by Jackie Goldschneider‘s inspiring journey of self-discovery and recovery from her battle with anorexia. Her courage to share her story is nothing short of commendable, as she bravely confronts the stigma surrounding mental health issues in our society.

Jackie Goldschneider responded to critics who labeled her as “fuller-figured” in a video she posted on her TikTok account on Monday.

At the iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball 2024 event held recently, Teresa Giudice, a Real Housewives of New Jersey star and a woman who has publicly discussed her long-term struggle with anorexia, addressed criticism concerning photos taken during the event.

As she captured herself within what seemed like a lounge area, the TV figure communicated with her followers, saying, “Hey everyone, I just shared some pictures from Jingle Ball.

Additionally, I received numerous remarks that left me quite astounded. People referred to me using terms such as ‘large,’ ‘voluptuous,’ ‘plump,’ and even ‘juicy’ in their descriptions. The choice of words ranged from descriptive phrases like ‘full-figured’ to straightforward labels like ‘big.’

Goldschneider went on to express that she had “a few points to make,” and clarified, “Firstly, I must admit it wasn’t useful. If it was intended as a compliment, I appreciate the sentiment, but it didn’t help me.

Here’s a suggestion for rephrasing: “Firstly, let’s focus on complimenting each other in ways that don’t involve comments about perceived changes in our physical appearance or body size.

Jackie stated, ‘If you consider my body size as large or plus-sized, I would recommend that you stop using platforms like TikTok, OnlyFans, and Instagram.’

In the real world, observe a woman’s physique as it truly is. A genuine woman’s body isn’t just about being thin or skeletal.

She shared with her audience that if she started using Ozempic today, she might shed all her pounds by the end of the year. However, she clarified that she’s decided against taking that route.

If you’re participating, that’s your choice. However, I prefer not to join in, as I firmly believe that humans are designed to experience hunger and consume food. We aren’t supposed to be mere skeletons.

Regarding her fourth point, the media figure suggested that parents refrain from complementing their daughters by commenting on the size of their bodies and instead focus on their achievements and inner qualities.

Feel free to avoid discussing her physique unless it’s necessary for medical reasons, if that makes sense.

Goldschneider stated, ‘Discussing someone’s weight and informing them that they’ve put on weight is something most people are already aware of.’

Her last point in the clip was, ‘If your intention was not to compliment me, but to passive aggressively insult me and to throw me off my game, that will never f***ing happen.’

Jackie explained to her fans, ‘I recovered from 20 years of anorexia and I am so proud of myself.’

Additionally, I firmly believe that my body is not only powerful but stunning as well, and honestly, it’s a masterpiece in its own right. Feel free to appreciate the view…that’s all for today. Great conversation, everyone.

In my own words as a lifestyle advisor, here’s how I might phrase those thoughts:

Goldschneider released her memoir titled: The Weight Of Beautiful last year in September 2023 where she got candid about her battle with anorexia and recovery from the eating disorder.

According to a passage from Us Weekly, the celebrity disclosed that although she had battled an eating disorder for a long time, it was only during the 12th season of RHONJ that her fellow cast members first learned about it.

She penned, ‘During casting excursions, I held two roles: one involved filming a reality series, while the other required me to eat sufficient amounts to avoid any appearance of issues, but not so excessively that it would disrupt my life.’

Jackie remarked that the second job was undeniably more challenging. Additionally, she mentioned her intention to create a well-structured plan outlining caloric intake.

‘I have recorded all the rules concerning what I eat each day in my food journal. This allows me to look up and verify, whenever needed, whether I made any errors in my diet for that particular day.’

The television host went on to say, ‘It seemed to be functioning well, I assumed. Two years into my role as a Housewife, and yet no one appeared to have detected that I was ill.’

It wasn’t apparent to anyone that I was constantly suffering and starving myself, nor that I was secretly maneuvering my food to reach the lettuce. What they didn’t realize is that I was struggling with anorexia.

In a chat with Entertainment Tonight last year, Jackie mentioned, “I began trimming items and became quite engrossed.

‘Anorexia may gradually take hold without your notice, and one day you might find yourself waking up with a fear of food and an apprehension towards eating.’

Jackie mentioned that her spouse, Evan Goldschneider, whom she married in 2006, has never expressed any comments about her weight and consistently complimented her on her beauty instead.

In simpler terms, when I first met my husband, I wasn’t particularly slim; I was of average build. Throughout our relationship, he never expressed any desire for me to lose weight or commented on my appearance in a negative manner. Instead, he always appreciated and loved the way I look.

As a lifestyle authority, allow me to share a relatable insight: A Real Housewife confided in me that her partner consistently complimented her on her beauty. However, fear took hold of her, leaving her unsure of how to halt her weight loss journey.

Regarding anorexia, Goldschneider said to ET, “Anorexia isn’t solely about food; it’s about dealing with fear, the need for control, and anxiety. It’s about trying to maintain control over things when you feel helpless in other parts of your life.

As Jackie continued to shed pounds, she began to remember the physical strain it put on her – from the low blood pressure to her heart rate slowing down.

It seems like there have been instances where I came very near to experiencing a heart attack. There were days when I struggled to catch my breath, days I overexerted myself due to being stuck in a repetitive routine, and I felt an overwhelming fear.

Yet, she emphasized that Bravo played a significant part in her recuperation, stating, “In fact, despite what some may think about reality TV, I must admit that Bravo was exceptional.

“They arranged for a fantastic rehabilitation facility where I felt well taken care of. They ensured I was under capable hands. They provided assistance, never pressuring me. Truly, they were exceptional.

Last year, Jackie shared her perspective on her recovery progress, saying, “I believe I’m looking fantastic.

I’m quite content with my physical form, yet I strive to avoid overvaluing it. When I gaze into a mirror, I make an effort not to pass judgment solely based on my appearance as reflected in my clothing.

The star emphasized, “‘I’m aware I’m attractive beyond just my looks. Whether it’s because of or despite this, I find beauty in myself. My history with food has been complex, often categorizing certain items as ‘good’ or ‘bad.’ Now, I struggle to consume some of the labeled ‘bad’ foods…

Step by step, I’m making progress, and now my meals are quite ordinary, without a hint of unusualness. I no longer experience social anxiety regarding food. I find myself venturing to places without first scrutinizing the menu. Instead, I savor whatever takes my fancy.

In 2018, Jackie became part of the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s cast, with potential production for the 15th season potentially starting as early as 2025.

After the season 14 reunion was called off, there are rumors that it might be revived because the next season seems to be postponed or on hold.
