This Week in Star Wars Comics: You are cordially invited...

As a seasoned Star Wars gamer with over three decades of galactic adventures under my belt, let me tell you, this week is a veritable smorgasbord of interstellar delights! From The High Republic Wedding Spectacular to Ewoks and Ahsoka, the Force is strong with these comics.

Get ready as we’re about to embark on an exciting week in December! With numerous contributions from The High Republic, many of them penned by Daniel José Older (who surely deserves some rest!), and sneak peeks into the ongoing miniseries, there’s plenty to look forward to!

This Week in Star Wars Comics, we have The High Republic Wedding Spectacular, Ewoks, Ahsoka, and more!

Without a doubt, the wedding of Zeen Mrala and Lula Talisola promises to be the most memorable event of the week. Following many years of story development, these two ladies are finally set to wed in an extraordinary, timeless issue. It has been confirmed that beloved characters from the The High Republic Adventures series will grace the occasion with their presence. This is one issue you won’t want to miss!

“The High Republic Adventures Phase III – The Grand Wedding Event

The cover artist for this issue is Cherriielle, who also designed Lula and Zeen’s wedding dresses.

Investigator Emerick Caphtor, a Jedi, is in search of solutions. The destructive actions of the Nihil towards beings called the Nameless are causing significant harm to the Jedi Order, as these creatures can consume the Force, leaving any Jedi they encounter hollowed out. He forms an unexpected partnership with a captive who was once employed by the Nihil. Can Emerick uncover the necessary information before it’s too late?

In simple terms, the third installment of “The High Republic Adventures – Messages from the Occlusion Zone” is penned by Daniel José Older, with artwork by Lucas Marangon, and the cover art by Jake Bartok.

The conflict reaches two realms! On Valo, the locals resist their Nihil conquerors. Guided by Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram and Jedi Knight Farzala Tarabal, it’s a challenging task to bring unity among the populace. Exhausted from the fight, will they manage to succeed in this uprising? Simultaneously, emotions flare on Eriadu as our protagonists need to confront their own antagonists.

In simpler terms, “The High Republic Adventures #13” is penned by Daniel José Older, featuring illustrations by Caïo Filipe and Michael Atiyeh, with artwork on the cover by Harvey Tolibao.

Wicket has been seized! Imprisoned by Imperial forces, Wicket is compelled to aid the antagonists in their quest for an abandoned Imperial arsenal hidden within Endor. The sole chance of rescue for our furry protagonist lies with a group from Bright Tree Village, featuring the enigmatic Red Ghost and Meedro the valiant fighter.

The third installment of Ewoks is penned by Steve Orlando, with illustrations by Álvaro López, Laura Braga, and Antonio Fabela, and the cover art created by Pete Woods.

I’m at a loss for words when it comes to these adaptations. They seem to offer nothing fresh, except for the upcoming adaptation of “The Rise of Skywalker,” which is said to include new scenes. If you’ve watched the sixth episode of “Ahsoka”, you’re familiar with this comic book. This is for those who appreciate striking artwork of their favorite characters.

In simpler terms, “Ahsoka #6” was penned by Rodney Barnes, with Georges Jeanty handling the illustrations, while Taurin Clarke was responsible for the cover art.

Wrapping up this week’s Star Wars Comic Updates! The upcoming week might bring some unexpected titles, but it’s unclear if they’ll be available physically or digitally on Christmas Day. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted. Until next time, catch you in the comic panels!
