Delight awaits Rainbow Six Siege gamers as we approach the holiday season leading up to the New Year! The Freeze for All Permafrost event has officially launched within the game and will run for several more weeks. Here’s what you can look forward to in the Freeze for All Permafrost event that’s part of Rainbow Six Siege:
What is the Freeze for All Permafrost event in Rainbow Six Siege?
The “Winter Showdown: Freeze for All” is a special occasion taking place within Rainbow Six Siege, merging the delight of the festive season with the chill of winter for all participants. This event will unfold over numerous weeks, wrapping up in early January 2025. The Freeze for All Event takes place on the Hereford Base Map, but with a distinctly wintry makeover. Snow covers every surface, from walls to mountains, creating an environment that perfectly captures the holiday ambiance of the event.
In this high-speed, free-for-all conflict, each participant serves as an adversary. This game employs a Deathmatch style, which features endless respawns, ensuring uninterrupted gaming fun throughout the entire match duration. The objective for players is to accumulate 40 kills, and the first one to achieve this target wins the game.
Frozen Soul – New Mechanic this year
Additionally, during this year’s event, there is a Frozen Souls feature. Gathering this mechanic enables players to accumulate additional points and reach the goal quicker. Each opponent eliminated will leave behind a Frozen soul, which you can collect for extra points. Keep in mind that the first player to score 40 points takes the victory.
Last week, Ubisoft unveiled fresh cosmetic packs for operators Azami and Lion. These operators received outfits inspired by Major Motoko Kusanagi and Batou from a popular series, adding even more style and personalization choices to Rainbow Six Siege. In addition to these new cosmetics, there are also exclusive time-limited bundles available for Thermite, MIra, and Finka. These packs include uniforms, headgear, weapon skins, and other items.
Each of the three new bundles is available for 1,680 R6 credits while the enhanced variant bundles have their reduced price cost of 1,200 R6 credits. The collection packs are also available for 300 R6 Credits. Players can also get one collection pack for free during the event and a full bundle for Frost when completing weekly challenges. Overall, there’s a lot for everyone, right from the free prizes to the paid ones. The Freezing theme of the event adds to the winter charm of the holidays that players will undoubtedly enjoy. While competition remains tough, it is on a different level and players will have fun eliminating everyone and anyone they lay their eyes on.
The Freeze for All Permafrost event continues all the way up to January 6, 2025 – early next year.
