Jane Seymour, 73, wows in a glamorous red corset gown for charity event after escaping wildfires at her Malibu home ‘with just the clothes I was wearing’

As I read through this captivating account of resilience and survival amidst the destructive Malibu wildfires, my heart swells with admiration for these legendary figures who continue to shine even in the face of adversity.

On Monday evening, Jane Seymour turned heads in a striking red satin dress at the American Ballet Theatre’s Holiday Benefit held in Los Angeles.

73-year-old actor famous for playing James Bond, showcased an exceptional appearance in a stylish off-shoulder dress with a corset design, featuring a wrapping skirt and audacious slits reaching up to his thighs.

Jane confidently stood tall, adorning a striking pair of metallic stilettos, while she gracefully displayed herself on the dazzling red carpet set at The Beverly Hilton.

The actress let down her long, golden hair in relaxed curls, adorned with a sparkling necklace and a thick bangle that coordinated well.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I gleamed radiantly, showcasing my captivating grin, prior to striking a series of enchanting poses at the camera lens in anticipation of the upcoming 11th annual charity extravaganza.

A few days have passed since the incident when Jane, startled, had to flee her Malibu residence in only the clothes she had on, as the California wildfire approached dangerously close to her home.

The actress disclosed that she managed to escape moments beforehand, commending the firefighters for their extraordinary efforts in preventing her house from being consumed by the Franklin Fire, which started a few days ago and gained notoriety.

Jane mentioned that her entire house had a strong smell of smoke upon her return on Thursday, as she had hastily left the property due to an emergency on Monday night.

At the BABC annual Christmas luncheon on the red carpet, I found myself explaining that I had only jeans and a sweater with me for the past four days, and I’ve been crashing at various friends’ places during this time.

On Monday evening, at ten fifty, we received a call from Johnny, the son of our partner John Zambetti, who happened to be at Serra Retreat at that time.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an experience that underscores the importance of fire safety. One day, while engrossed in my work, I noticed a subtle radiance peeking through the window curtains. Curiosity piqued, I approached the window and was met with a sight that sent chills down my spine – a towering 10-foot flame just beyond the glass. Instinctively, I called out urgently, ‘Evacuate! Evacuate!’ This incident served as a stark reminder about the unpredictable nature of fire and the necessity of always being vigilant.

‘We all got out just in time because of that.

“I can’t express enough gratitude for the incredible work done by the fire department. The flames nearly reached our property, but they managed to save it – and countless lives too! I’m both thankful and shaken. All I could grab before fleeing was the clothes I was wearing.

At present, Jane is in a relationship with musician John Zambetti, who is 75 years old, and she takes pride in being the mother of six grown-up children: Jenni (44), Katherine (42), Sean (39), Kalen (56), and twins John and Kristopher (29).

In a recent report, the City of Malibu revealed that over 4,000 acres were scorched by a fiery wind-propelled blaze, resulting in 14 structures being completely demolished, while an additional 13 buildings sustained damage.

On Friday, Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke, now 99 years old, and music icon Cher were among those compelled to evacuate their residences due to certain circumstances.

At the BABC event in Los Angeles, Jane received an LA icon award. She expressed, “This recognition is immense, especially considering the recent events where the fires approached my home, leaving me barely able to think about dressing myself, let alone speaking to anyone.

At the red carpet event, Jane explained that the fire hadn’t targeted their house as “firetrucks arrived immediately, and we were swiftly rescued.

‘The whole house smells of smoke, but we’re just so grateful,’ she said.

In my hometown, the work the firefighters accomplished was nothing short of astonishing. If you’re familiar with the landscape here, you’d know that the flames approached each residence almost to the very doorstep – a mere inch away from every dwelling as it climbed the hill.

‘It is absolutely incomprehensible to me that so few structures were burned.’

In her talk, Jane expressed gratitude for being able to continue working at the age of 73, stating that she feels profoundly fortunate.

She stated: ‘I wasn’t sure how it functioned, as typically at age 40, one is a woman and considered past their prime. However, when I was forty, something wonderful happened – I received a role on Dr Quinn, which turned out to be a blessing. I’ve been incredibly fortunate since then.’

Jane acted alongside the recently deceased Sir Roger Moore, portraying James Bond for the first time as an MI6 agent, in the 1973 film “Live and Let Die.

The twice-awarded Golden Globe recipient expressed that the title of “Bond Girl” is something that will always be associated with her, likening it to one of the most significant British cultural exports she could be connected to.

In 1996, I was honored with the prestigious Golden Globe for Best Actress, marking my triumph as Michaela Quinn in Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Interestingly enough, this accolade came a full 14 years after my initial win, which I had received for my performance in East of Eden.

After Dick Van Dyke was compelled to crawl to his car during the alarming Malibu wildfire evacuation due to being drained from attempting to quell the fires.

This week, the screen icon and his partner Arlene Silver, age 53, along with their pets, left their residence. They have since come back and found their missing cat Bobo, who ran away amidst the fire.

Speaking with a local news outlet in an interview aired on the Today show Thursday, Van Dyke said the fire ‘was coming from the hill, you could see it.

‘And oh my God, and we got out of here.’

He revealed he was forced to crawl to his car after exhausting himself trying to use a fire hose, saying: ‘I had exhausted myself, I couldn’t get up.

Three nearby residents rushed over, helped me escape, returned, and extinguished a small blaze in the guesthouse, thus rescuing me.
