Maggie’s decision about Ella in FBI season 7 is important to show selflessness
As a woman who’s juggled a demanding career and motherhood for far too many years, I can appreciate the complexities of Maggie’s situation in FBI season 7. In episode 6, she made a selfless decision that might have seemed like a step back, but it was undeniably the right one for Ella.
Many crime drama series often depict characters juggling parenthood and a successful career, suggesting this balance is achievable. However, reality can be different, and sometimes pursuing both isn’t the best choice. In the seventh season of FBI, episode 6, Maggie found herself grappling with a tough dilemma.
Maggie stepped up to care for her dearest friend’s little girl, Ella, following Jessica’s passing. This arrangement, which included Ella’s uncle, Kevin, was shared custody. It was an aspiration of Maggie’s, but it required a sacrifice on her part.
As a gamer, I get why some folks might feel frustrated with this move, as it appears to set Maggie back a bit. However, let’s remember that life isn’t about having it all at once; it’s about making tough choices when necessary. In this case, Maggie made the decision that was best for Ella in the current situation.
Maggie chose to give up custody of Ella in FBI season 7
In the seventh season of FBI, during episode 6, Kevin approached Maggie due to concerns about Ella’s upbringing. It turns out that Ella had physically attacked a schoolchild, and her therapist suggested that the unpredictability in Maggie’s job could be exacerbating an already challenging situation. Given Ella’s past experiences of losing her mother at a young age, it’s clear that she has already endured a difficult life.
In simpler terms, if Maggie’s child (either biologically or adoptively) hadn’t been affected by the trauma, she might have managed the situation well since many parents do. However, Ella is facing additional challenges, and unfortunately, Maggie may not be able to provide what Ella needs at this time.
It’s clear that Kevin possesses the capability. He can provide both security and assurance. In this episode, it became evident that Maggie was unaware of being pursued by a serial predator. With such danger lurking, how could she ensure Ella’s safety if she couldn’t safeguard herself? (Paraphrased sentence)
As a gamer, I can imagine a scenario where Kevin’s pushing for full custody might tilt the court’s decision in his favor. Ella’s therapist could speak to why consistency is crucial, while others might highlight the potential risks associated with Maggie’s career. It’s clear that Maggie values her profession deeply and won’t want to give it up easily. Yet, surrendering full custody to Kevin doesn’t necessarily mean saying a permanent goodbye to Ella. This situation could potentially benefit everyone, but most significantly, it would ensure the best interest of little Ella.
Instead of solely focusing on what a story appears to convey, consider examining the entire context. Ella was already agitated, and Maggie’s self-centeredness wasn’t making things better. However, this doesn’t automatically mean Kevin’s approach is correct either. It requires careful examination and experimentation.
The decision doesn’t imply that Maggie shouldn’t become a mother. Instead, it suggests that women possess immense value regardless of whether they choose to bear children or not. Many women may be unable or unwilling to have kids, and that’s perfectly okay. It’s crucial that we prioritize the wellbeing and safety of children, but it’s equally important for women to have the freedom to make choices about their own lives.
