Noughties boyband stars strip down to their Speedos as they take a winter break after reuniting earlier this year and hinting at plans for new music
As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the evolution of music and pop culture, I must say that seeing the reunion of V, particularly these steamy snaps from their vacation, brings back nostalgic memories of my youth. The noughties were an era filled with unique fashion trends, catchy tunes, and boybands like V that captured our hearts and minds.
Two members of the noughties boyband V have stripped down to their Speedos on holiday.
In the early 2000s, I had the honor to be among a remarkable group that included Aaron Buckingham, aged 41 at the time, Kevin McDaid, then 40 years old, Mark Harle, Antony Brant, and Leon Pisani. Our names became synonymous with fame and success.
They took pleasure in tunes like Blood, Sweat and Tears and Hip to Hip before deciding to disband in 2005, following a mere two-year stint in the music industry.
They reunited in 2023 – without Mark – and hinted at plans to record new music and tour again.
However, during the summer break, two well-known figures shared a passionate photo shoot on Instagram, demonstrating that their bond remains robust despite the passage of time.
Aaron jokingly commented, “Taking sun, sea, and selfie-sweat snapshots with the sassy nickname for his bandmate during their trip.
In a single image, the lads appeared jovial, striking poses against the backdrop of the ocean, with Aaron donning just a set of colorful swim trunks.
Later, it was Kevin who was pictured standing tall aboard a boat, wearing a pair of compact black swim briefs. Meanwhile, it seemed that Aaron was seated inside a steamy room, likely a sauna, dressed in a pair of casual shorts.
Although he was not present for the steamy photos, Leon got in on the action by leaving a comment.
He wrote: ‘My boys’ and emblazoned his comment with two blue heart emojis.
The band was formed 2002 through auditions held by Prestige Management.
I chose our band name, ‘V’, which is the Roman numeral for five, symbolizing our quintet.
In the year 2003, the group secured a record deal with Universal Records, marking their first album release. They opened for Busted during their Arena Tour in early 2004, which was their inaugural stage performance.
Over the summer of 2024, the group took to the stage at the Mighty Hoopla Festival in London.
They performed all of their classic tracks, as well as a cover of Jackson 5 hit Can You Feel It.
Before that, they sparked anticipation among fans by releasing a sneak peek of their emblem, suggesting a potential return might be imminent.
One lover of the group wrote underneath: ‘I can’t handle this can’t wait to find out what these guys have in store.’
A second penned: ‘Can’t wait!!’, while a third said: ‘Not really sure i have words!’
