Elsa Pataky reveals the one condition she gave Chris Hemsworth to move to Australia and the secret to her happy marriage with her ‘partner for life’
Elsa Pataky has revealed how her husband Chris Hemsworth persuaded her to move to Australia.
As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience under my belt, I must say Elsa Pataky’s story is a testament to the power of compromise and love. Moving across continents for love and a dream isn’t an easy feat, but when it comes with a promise of horses on a sprawling farm, who can resist?
In a simpler and more conversational style, the phrase could be rephrased as: The 48-year-old Spanish actress calls Byron Bay her home, where she lives with her husband Chris (age 41) and their three children – India, aged 12, along with the twins Sasha and Tristan who are both 10 years old.
However, Elsa, hailing from Madrid, confessed that there was a particular requirement she insisted on before she consented to relocate her life to Australia more than nine years back.
In conversation with The Courier Mail, Elsa disclosed that she shared with Chris her condition for relocating to Australia: they must reside on a spacious countryside property allowing her to own horses.
She disclosed, “That arrangement was with Chris. I mentioned that I intended to relocate to Australia, but I desired a rural property, a farm, and to keep horses. This, he was aware of.
Fortunately, Elsa’s wish was fulfilled, and they now reside in an expansive $30 million, eight-bedroom house, located on a vast 4.2 hectare property in Broken Head.
Additionally, Elsa provided an open and honest perspective on her partnership with the well-known figure in Hollywood, Chris, and disclosed their method for maintaining marital bliss amidst numerous obstacles they have encountered together.
She mentioned that while everyone imagines a marriage filled with beauty, love, and perfection, the reality is often far more demanding than one might expect.
‘Growth through it brings numerous hurdles, yet there’s a striking beauty in overcoming these obstacles together, discovering more about ourselves and our transformations throughout the years, as well as adapting to one another.’
It might seem like every marriage is flawless from the outside, but in reality, they all have their unique issues that require effort to maintain.
Elsa and Chris got married only ten months after their initial meeting, and they’ll be celebrating 14 years of wedlock on December 22nd. However, it seems they often forget their wedding anniversary.
Every December, despite what some might consider a dating taboo, Elsa playfully dismisses our annual holiday-close rendezvous as something easily swept under the rug. Yet, we always find ourselves chuckling about it, reminiscing on the peculiarity of the season that brought us together.
Speaking affectionately about her spouse, Elsa confessed her desire for a lifelong companion as she shared her aspirations of aging alongside Chris Hemsworth, the renowned Thor actor.
In December 2010, during their vacation in Australia, Elsa and Chris unexpectedly tied the knot at a spontaneous wedding ceremony, mere three months following the start of their public relationship.
Five years after purchasing their dream home, valued at approximately $7.6 million, they decided to relocate to the picturesque coastal town of Byron Bay.
Currently, they find themselves facing an exceptional chance to grow their extensive property holdings within the renowned “Golden Grid” region of Byron Bay.
In October, a nine-hectare property adjacent to their opulent Balinese villa was put up for sale at an unspecified cost.
Real estate insiders have estimated the luxury retreat could fetch as much as $34million.
Despite its potential profitability, The Daily Telegraph reported that the Hemsworths have shown no signs of disclosing their interests regarding the grand estate.
In 2011, the property was sold at auction for approximately $6.3 million, and it’s now under the ownership of oil and gas tycoon Russell Staley and his spouse, Jennifer.
Nestled within the scenic Byron Bay hinterland, specifically at Broken Head, lies a property often referred to as Ohana. This property is strategically positioned, being situated midway between the residence of the Hemsworth family and Seven Mile Beach.
Nestled among expanses of wilderness, this architecturally designed residence offers an impressive 450 meters of coastal views and is equipped with several pavilions capable of accommodating up to 28 guests.
