Everything Catherine Zeta-Jones eats in a day to maintain her youthful glow and incredible figure at 56

At 56, Catherine Zeta-Jones continues to look remarkably youthful, seemingly defying age with her radiant complexion.

Catherine Zeta-Jones recently shared details about her daily diet, offering a glimpse into her life with husband Michael Douglas and their children, Dylan and Carys. Fans are eager to know her secrets to staying healthy and looking great, and her food choices might hold the key.

I’ve noticed Catherine really prioritizes healthy eating during the week – she always says it helps her feel amazing. But honestly, she deserves a treat, and she definitely lets loose a little more on the weekends! It’s a nice balance for her.

She consistently wakes up early each morning to savor the peace and quiet of her house before making a French press coffee.

After taking her dog out, she makes her nutritional breakfast which depends on the current season.

Catherine loves starting her winter days with a warm bowl of porridge, sweetened with brown sugar and topped with fresh bananas and blueberries.

As the weather warms up from spring to summer, she switches to a lighter snack: non-fat vanilla yogurt topped with Bear Naked granola, blueberries, and raspberries.

She told Harper’s BAZAAR that she typically doesn’t eat breakfast until around 8am, and she prefers to have three meals a day. However, her breakfast habits are particularly tied to daylight saving time.

Oh my gosh, the weekend finally hits and Catherine totally abandons her strict eating! Forget salads, she goes straight for a full English breakfast and French toast, and get this – she uses Martha Stewart’s recipe! It’s perfection, honestly. I need to try making that French toast myself!

We love making a traditional full English breakfast as a family,” she said. “I make sure to get imported British bacon, sausages, baked beans, and scrambled eggs for it.

For my American family – my husband and kids – we make French toast with real Canadian maple syrup.

‘Every weekend it comes together in a fabulous family brunch.’

Around 11 in the morning, Catherine likes to have a cup of tea with a cookie or a piece of Cadbury chocolate.

Catherine enjoys having lunch with her husband, Michael, and any other family members who happen to be home.

‘We’re very big on family meals’, she said. ‘I don’t know whether it is my European connection.

Whenever our family is together – whether it’s just the kids or other relatives – we all stop what we’re doing and share lunch together.

She opts for a light lunch consisting of a salad alongside grilled chicken, fish or aubergine.

As a little self-care moment with lunch, I love to brew a cup of my Casa Zeta Jones coffee. And to really make the meal special, I always finish it off with some warm, homemade scones – it’s the perfect pick-me-up!

She described their usual dinner routine, saying that she and Michael generally eat before 8 p.m.

We generally don’t eat late at night, but when we travel in Europe, we adjust to the local schedule. This means we end up eating dinner later, going to bed later, and waking up later too.

Catherine ordered an apple and avocado salad to start, followed by a fillet mignon with a shitake mushroom sauce and a side of vegetables for dinner.

I really love cauliflower cheese – I’ve always been a fan of cheesy dishes. It reminds me of my mum, who wasn’t much of a cook, but cauliflower cheese was her signature dish. It’s a comforting taste of home for me.

She shared that she has a sweet tooth, especially for ice cream and her mother’s apple pie – a combination that always makes her happy.

Last year, the couple marked their 25th anniversary. They originally tied the knot in November 2000 at The Plaza Hotel.
