Virgin River star jokes about pregnancy storyline on Instagram

As a devoted fan who has followed Charmaine Roberts’ journey since the very first season of Virgin River, I must say that Lauren Hammersley’s pregnancy storyline has been nothing short of iconic! The unparalleled length of her gestation period has undeniably become a memorable part of the show’s charm.

Actress Lauren Hammersley, who plays a role in Virgin River, playfully pokes fun at Charmaine Roberts’ controversial pregnancy plotline that garnered much attention on the series.

For several seasons on Netflix, the character of the star was distinctively expecting. She revealed this news at the start of season 1 and eventually delivered the baby in season 5.

Hammersley, in a humorous manner, has made note of the unusually lengthy pregnancy period in her Instagram bio.

The description mentions that the character is the second most pregnancy-extended individual seen on TV, and the Virgin River’s official account playfully joined in. (or)

Sharing a picture of Charmaine’s bio along with a screenshot from the show where she said, “It feels like I’ve been pregnant for ages,” followed by the comment, “Indeed.” or simply, “Verily.

Lauren responded in the comments with a playful, “Oh dear me, what a pickle!” as several fans added humorous remarks regarding the plot.

One person found this line so amusing that they couldn’t help but laugh aloud, while another playfully commented: “They’ll have a good chuckle when they read it.

A third chimed in excitedly, saying something like “Wow, check out that timeline!”, and a fourth playfully commented, “That’s Guinness World Record-worthy gestation period!

Last year, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith discussed the plot development, remarking that the series humorously addressed the circumstances through the “implied long pregnancy” joke.

He shared with Entertainment Weekly that it was a wonderful surprise for the fans, similar to saying, “‘At long last, Charmaine has welcomed a baby after four seasons,'” he stated. On Instagram, Lauren, who is known for her humor, expressed, “In just two days, I’ll be giving birth to two five-year-olds.

According to Tim Matheson, who plays Doc Mullins, “Virgin River” is set to air its sixth season this month, and production on the seventh season will start in March.

Virgin River seasons 1-5 are streaming now on Netflix. Season 6 premieres on December 19.
