The lawsuit had initially been filed in New York’s Southern District this past October against Combs, with a refiling on Sunday which identified Jay-Z.
For over two decades, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have dominated the R&B music scene as a power couple. They exchanged vows in April 2008, and by another April in 2014, they had collectively sold 300 million records.
They share three children together – Blue Ivy and six-year-old twins Rumi and Sir Carter.
However, during their initial stages, whispers of infidelity between them arose as people suspected Jay-Z had been unfaithful to her with his protégé, Rihanna. There were also suggestions that they temporarily parted ways in the year 2005 due to certain issues.

Remarkably, these actions seem to have had the opposite effect, serving instead as motivation for them to move forward with taking the case to court.
In response to the Jay-Z matter and his alleged attempts to silence my associates, Mr. Carter earlier stated that he was not the party who initiated the lawsuit against me and my team. (Buzbee’s statement)
He disguised himself by using a false name when filing his baseless lawsuit. It’s important to note that although he claims otherwise in his latest declaration, our law firm did send a demand letter to his attorney, not on behalf of him but for an individual who has never sought a single penny from him.
Rather than pursuing a lawsuit, she opted for private mediation instead. After I wrote the letter on her part, not only did Mr. Carter file a lawsuit against me, but he also attempted to intimidate and harrass both me and the plaintiff.
His actions, rather than what was intended, have actually boosted her confidence. I’m incredibly impressed by her determination. Regarding the claims made in the lawsuit, we’ll allow the document to represent our stance and argue the details in a court of law, not in the public eye through media outlets.
