She recently told Vogue that they held her back from releasing new music for ten years, with the intention of portraying her as unable to create it.

2013 saw the arrest of Sky and her former boyfriend, Zachary Cole Smith, on charges related to narcotics possession, specifically heroin and ecstasy.
Zachary admitted to being involved in the arrest and expressed remorse, acknowledging that Sky might suffer professional setbacks due to the ensuing scandal.
In a 2014 interview with Stereogum, he admitted, ‘Essentially, I acted foolishly. I made a mistake, one that was entirely on me, and as a result, I’ve negatively impacted my girlfriend’s life.’
He went on to say, “She truly didn’t commit any fault. In essence, she was merely a fellow traveler in the vehicle when someone momentarily lost control.
‘She got in deep s**t… Her career got really f****d up because everybody thought she was a drug addict, which she’s absolutely not. That’s the worst part of it for me is that I really f****d her over.’
